Just when you think the rhetoric couldn't get more disgusting, there's this from Bill Donohue of The Catholic League, via Josh Marshall's Talking Points Memo:

Maybe the conservatives who go into paroxysms with charges of anti-Semitism any time the word "neoconservative" is uttered, will spare a moment to take notice of this (courtesy of Andrew Sullivan) from Bill Donohue of the Catholic League...

Who really cares what Hollywood thinks? All these hacks come out there. Hollywood is controlled by secular Jews who hate Christianity in general and Catholicism in particular. It's not a secret, OK? And I'm not afraid to say it. That's why they hate this movie. It's about Jesus Christ, and it's about truth. It's about the messiah. Hollywood likes anal sex. They like to see the public square without nativity scenes. I like families. I like children. They like abortions. I believe in traditional values and restraint. They believe in libertinism. We have nothing in common.

12. Only if you consider 'Jew' to refer to a culture...

and I question whether or not it can be considered strictly a cultural term, as do most of my Jewish friends (in terms of technicality).

But I'm open to others' opinions ....

11. My feedback:

Bill Donohue ought to go back to defending child molesters, instead of attacking fellow Americans who don't share his rigid world views as being "anti-family," or even better, according to his recent hate-filled utterances, engaged in some kind of Jewish conspiracy.

I'm sure Donohue regrets that there's no active Inquisition right now. I'm sure he's working to rectify that, since he seems to have a direct line on what he imagines the vindictive, hateful Christ he worships -- as opposed to the real one -- would want.

Oh: And we all love our families too, Mr. Donohue.
