Are Republicans really against homosexuality?

The other day, Dick Cheney patted George Bush on the shoulder, thereby violating their own party's position that a dick can't touch an asshole.

(This is a Molly Ivins line that she used in her book, "Molly Ivins Can't Say That, Can She?" It was regarding two Texas congressmen who shook hands after passing a piece of anti-gay legislation. I just had this compulsion to share this great line on DU.)
