for some time now, most DU'ers have viewed the "fear" factor of how dangerous the world is to be a republican ploy to build support for bush ...
the argument is based on the belief that most voters did not want to "change horses in the middle of a war", that bush's numbers went sky high after 9/11 and that the republicans gain a political edge on "war" issues while Democrats focus more on domestic stuff ...
but your post is an interesting twist ... the fact that bush has made the world much less safe by his insane marauding in the middle east goes without question ...
but perhaps the Democrats missed a beat on this issue ... perhaps that should have been at the very heart of the debate ... unfortunately, Kerry's refusal to call for immediate troop withdrawal made the "the world's more dangerous" argument much tougher to sell ...
any way you look at it, the insanity of the Iraq invasion is now easily seen by most Americans ... the policy has no, not one, redeeming value ... it was immoral; it was illegal; and it's put not just the U.S. but global peace at much greater risk for generations to come ...
