Ok, if I liked Lieberman before I'd hate him after the first debate

But I hated him before the debate, so I just hold him in contempt now. WHen he said the Bush recession would be followed by the Dean depression I almost exploded. Dean is right behind Clark as my favorite candidate, but that's besides the point. Lieberman basically said Dean would be a worse president than Bush. No democrat or republican EVER says that one of the nominees in their party would be worse than the oppositions candidate! That's an unwritten rule that should be complete common sense. No republican would ever dream of that, and it never crossed my mind that a democrat would ever do that, but Joe proved me wrong again. Plus, he completely misconstrued Dean's position and didn't really give him a chance to explain himself. Dean is in favor of fair trade that would protect American jobs, which is the right approach. Joe was tring to make it look like Dean didn't want to trade with any country in the world and shut down businesses that do. I was happy with the performance of every candidate besides Joe, and it reminded me how wonderful it would be to have any of the other 8 in the white house instead of Bush. Joe didn't impress me at all, and I never thought I'd say it, but I will vote Green if he get's the nomination. He is not a team player at all and doesn't care about anything but his political career and his big business supporters. Dean's going to chew him up and spit him out.
On other Dean notes, I was very impressed with his spanish. Also, on crossfire today Donna Brazile was talking about how Dean may not be electable, but Bay Buchannan said he had a strong message about America losing jobs overseas and she thought that would play well in the general election because it was true. I found that suprising, but cool.
Anyway, Joe represents everything that is wrong with the Democratic party today, and I hope he is humiliated in the primary and the Dean or Clark/Dean administration beats up on him everyday he's in the senate.

my sentiments exactly - I was disgusted and embarassed over his slimy remarks - you see old Terry McA in the audience coaching his stooge. This man is so contemptuous I can hardly stand to look at him. He is a plant, a double agent. Wait till the Repukes use that little bit of propaganda in chimpy's election campaign. Thanks Joe you piece of crap. The sooner the Dems get rid of this guy the better off they will be. And..excuse me that goes for Donna Brazile too - another puppet of the DLC - how in the heck did Al Gore end up with Holy Joe and Donna B. No wonder the guy was screwed.

Dean has only one real rival right now and it's Kerry. If Dean were smart he would ignore Lieberman's cheap thrill line.

I was wondering how a republican got into the democratic debates?

He was so fast to suck up to Bush after 9-11, talking about Bush's "great leadership." He is pro-war all the way, and IMO, considers Israel's welfare as much as that of the US. He is non-electable and hopefully will fall by tthe wayside if enough of us feel the same way. I do believe he is an immensely better alternative than a second Bush term, but that ain't saying much.
