I was wondering about the power of the Bush Family.

If this power came solely from its wealth, that would be unusual because there are even wealthier families in the U.S. that can easily outstrip the Bush family. I believe that, just like J.Edgar Hoover, Bush Sr. has accumulated very damaging intelligence over a lifetime association with spooks and as Director of CIA. That intelligence has been used not just to silence his political opponents but others in the media who may speak out.

If there are any other explanations, I would like to hear them.

I wonder how they came to be so influential w/the Saudis, and vice versa. Perhaps mainly because they have been oil people, or what?

Now, I just read somewhere on the net that Bush's fortune is about $15 million. However, that's NOTHING compared to John Kerry's fortune, worth about $1 billion (or is it his wife?).

Either way, there are LOTS of people with way more money than this fool. What's their problem?

the attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan, not to mention the "October Surprise", Iran-Contra, BCCI and the savings & loan debacle. George W. Bush is just the fruit of the family's labors.

And the estimated worth of $15 million is just laughable. These people have so many millions stashed in Swiss banks and Cayman banks and elsewhere -- there's no telling how much they ACTUALLY have.

Remember, George Bush was a multi-millionaire when he and Barb and the kids lived in a small neighborhood house in Midland. They've been posing as "regular" folk all these years. It's second nature for them to play this game of being average Americans when they are anything but. It was a cover for Bush's intelligence connections in the 50's and 60's.

Also, the FBI Memorandum of November 23, 1963, that referred to George Bush as a "reputable businessman" when he was trying to throw the investigation off course by turning in a Houston guy who had been "making threats against Kennedy" is very telling.

Nothing about the Bush Family is what it seems. This is a crime syndicate that even Ian Fleming couldn't have imagined.

I agree with the above poster in that I find it very hard to believe that $15M is all they have. They are "old money" and "old power". The Herbert's and the Walker's are old powerful families and they aren't all that are in the family tree. They are related to Queen Elizabeth as well.

I believe though that they have gotten much of their power by being the public face among people that prefer to avoid celebrity.

Jim Hatfield connected Osama bin Laden to an aerial attack on George W Bush at the Genoa G8 summit, weeks before 9-11. He also brought up the name of one James R Bath, ex-Texas Air National Guard, one time House of bin Laden USA "business agent" and one-time BCCI big wig. Hatfield "suicided" a couple of weeks after publication. Weird, huh?

July 3, 2001—There may be fireworks in Genoa, Italy, this month, too.

A plot by Saudi master terrorist, Osama bin Laden, to assassinate Dubya during the July 20 economic summit of world leaders, was uncovered after dozens of suspected Islamic militants linked to bin Laden's international terror network were arrested in Frankfurt, Germany, and Milan, Italy, in April.

German intelligence services have stated that bin Laden is covertly financing neo-Nazi skinhead groups throughout Europe to launch another terrorist attack at a high-profile American target—his first since the bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen last October.

According to counter-terrorism experts quoted in Germany's largest newspaper, the attack on Dubya might be a James Bond-like aerial strike in the form of remote-controlled airplanes packed with plastic explosives.
