E-Mail from "friends"
I got the following email from a woman I used to play cards with monthly. The last few times we played, I found it hard because I suspected many of the group were Bush fans. When I mentioned the war and Bush's atrocities at a game, the response was very mild. I've since moved to another state but still get email updates. The husband of the woman in question lost his job early last year and has since found another one paying less than half what he made. She told me recently two others' husbands had lost their jobs. They don't seem to be able to put two and two together about the job loss and the thief in office.

Anyway, here goes...

Subject: Request for our Prayers

Please keep this going, not for me but for those that count for our freedom. Thanks.

Prayer wheel for our Military...please don't break it

Please send this on after a short prayer.
Prayer wheel for our soldiers...please don't break it

Prayer Wheel
"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they
protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they
perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

Prayer Wheel: When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our troops around the world.

There is nothing attached.... This can be very powerful.... Just send this to all the people in your address book. Do not stop the wheel, please....Of all the gifts you could give a US Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine &others deployed in harm's way,

Prayer is the very best one.

God knows I support our troops and I know they need prayer. The part that gets me, if you read this, is where they say pray for them because they are defending us and our freedom. I know it's rhetorical but I must ask: DEFENDING US AGAINST WHAT??? Why the hell didn't they support them by voting Bush out of office.

1. Thta is not what bothers me, if they think they are
fighting for our freedoms fine, the frame will be hard to break... and they will not get it until it is their own flesh and blood o'er there. What bothers me is... pray... 'xcuse me, the troops need more than just prayer. THey need armor, they need food, they need medical care, they need ammo... I could go on...

Wanna bet they have not sent a care package to a troop?

What about sending phone cards to the troops at John Reed? (We will find out if we can deliver some to Balboa, personally)

This is what bothers me

They may even tell a homeless vet (we kind of feed, he has that wonderful 1000 mile stare, hence I know he has seen hell), well what is this trash doing here? I ripped that lady

4. I get so sick of this garbage!
Why are our kids dying? Iraq never was a threat to us. A Republican Senator said on Meet the Press that the Iraqis are not aiding us to any significant degree in the "liberation" of their country. They don't want to have anything to do with the war. The only people profiting from this war are the corporate globalists.

We've done very little to secure our borders and another group of 19 radicals could come in and make a major attack at anytime.

The kids fighting this "war" are almost all from low-income and middle class families. The kids needed a job and benefits for schooling, etc.

Finally, Bushco has negated Christ's Golden Rule. His words are not of peace and our kids are paying the price.

I no longer have any patience with the lunacy of the Bushies and their politicizing of Christ and our kids.

5. Funny ...
I read this minutes ago from my fundy friend ... I know it's the same, though I merely glanced at it ... like I do with most of what he sends me. It infuriates me that these people are so blind.

7. People who perpetuate this crap
are the perfect willing tools of the fascist empire. They don't question motives or details, they just keep their heads down and pray for faith to endure the punishment. If more people used their atrophied critical thinking skills and connected the dots from the fallen soldiers all they way back to Rumsfeld, Rice, Big Oil, et. al., there would be no need to pray for soldiers.
