Is "fetus worship" a new religion in America? When the life of a mother
is superceded by the life of the fetus at all costs and now maybe even murder, are we headed in the wrong direction?

1. Hello
I understand what you are saying here. I think no one is really thinking of the poor soul that was murdered that day. All the attention seems to be on this baby now that it is no longer a fetus I believe.

3. It's the new
Scott Peterson case - avoid real news, focus on a local murder, don't talk about real issues.

4. More like the truth.
Any sensational story that has minimal actual impact on our live will divert attention from reality.

5. Are you referring to the Kansas case?
If so, I think that people have naturally latched on to the hopeful element in this hideous story; the survival of the baby.
If you're addressing the broader issues around abortion and the value of fetal life vs. the value of the woman, that's another issue, one well worth addressing. The anti-choice people are successfully moving the spot light from the woman to the fetus. I call it babyizing the abortion debate. We need to deal with this immediately. We've already waited too long.

6. That's right
the pro-lifers have changed tactics. They have shifted away from the gruesome photos they used to display during their protests. For them this is a good strategy. We need to expose this strategy to the those that haven't figured it out yet. I am personally against abortion; however we need to protect the LIFE of the mother at the same time. These pro-lifers are willing to take their chances with two funerals instead of one. I don't get it. Maybe I need some of what they are drinkin'.

7. we need to drum up some snappy catch phrases:
for baby killer, reply mother killer.

We need really gruesome pictures of women dying. We need female organs and genitalia in a state of decay. Sensationalism seems to work.
