Testing Reality

Our flabby fascists think that they're clever enough to effectively negate the value of reality. What they don't realize is that they're actually just testing reality, and proving and increasing its value in the process. They're also proving how worthless they are.

They've chosen to turn themselves into objects of ridicule like their vanquished foe - Baghdad Bob.

Now that the totalitarian tits are out in the open, there's no reason to keep giving them the benefit of the doubt. Now it's clear that we're not facing "just another opinion." Now that the world of decent people knows who they are - their lives are ruined. Their movement is ruined. The deception is over.

Of course, they'll attempt to slay reality in a desperate bid to save themselves, but that won't work either; it'll just increase the magnitude of their crime.

They thought they were clever enough to trick us into surrendering centuries of progress. :eyes:

I think people who are enthusiastically dumb about the forthcoming wars are there. But I also think that there's a sense of desperation around the Republican Party / Conservative Movement. THey know that big changes are coming. That's why they are trying to administer the knock out punch now rather than later (with all this Democrats hate Christmast crap).

My point is that they're out in the open now. Gradually, decent people will stop verifying, patiently debating, and finding other ways to give them the benefit of the doubt. I passed that point a long time ago.

The harder they push, the more resistance they create.

If you take a deception and remove the element of anyone being deceived, what do you have left? One person clearly misleading another. What do you do in that situation, when you find out that you are indeed facing a bad hombre that wants to take advantage of you?

I was sure there was no way he could be elected president, since people could surely see through his cowboy veneer to the shallow evil beneath... After 2003, I was sure folks were seeing through the lies that had killed so many in Iraq, so I had no doubt that he would lose re-election. Sorry to be so cynical. I just don't see what is holding them back from doing anything at this point -- as long as he doesn't cause his corporate masters to lose money, they could care less if he institutes a draft and invades Syria and Iran. And one more "terra-ist" attack here, and I suspect the majority of the public would buy right in. Like I said, sorry to be so cynical, but this is my gut feel on what the next four years is holding for us.

I would rather focus on solutions. I'm pointing out that having no credibility is a real problem for them.

I would feel badly if her son got shipped off - but not too badly. Now, if my kids get shipped off, I will be besides myself.

You really do have a problem...and it's not with me.

but one thing they did prove is that they CAN create their own reality. unfortunately, when greed & power are motivating factors, it is more achievable than when peace and prosperity are the goals.

I can almost see how these liberals-turned-neocons turned the corner: both believe they have the ability to change their world. Unfortunately, they took their eyes off the ball & became distopians.

the question is, how long will they be able to maintain it? I'm betting they won't last long.
