still, we got a Prez that cut the vets bennys, unemployment up by 2.4 milliom, economic outlook dismal, tells the world slaves came to America from Senegal for freedom, urges attacks on our troops in Iraq, etc etc.

But he won't admit if he knew about the NIGER thing or not. Just sez CIA cleared it.

4. Not so fast.
Most of the headlines I've seen say "CIA director Tenet takes the blame for bogus Iraq intelligence." Think about that. "Takes the blame" implies that he's deflecting blame from the real culprit. This ain't going away so soon.

Plus, what did Tenet have to gain? It was in the CIA's interest NOT to include the info (remember, the CIA was so cautious, Rummy had to form his own intelligence service to provide him with pro-war intel). And, even if Tenet did do it, why didn't the WH come clean earlier, rather than waiting for it to be exposed in a NYT op/ed piece?

Nope. This stinks to high heaven. Something is rotten in Denmark, alright.

Don't we know the difference between a headline and a newstory on these boards by now? Don't we know that headlines are not written by authors and often bear little resemblence to the actual story? There's nothing there. Nothing at all. If anything, he's just made the situation worse for them. It doesn't come anywhere near adding up. It doesn't even make sense by its own assumptions.
