Good luck. It isn't always easy, carefully avoiding any talk of politics or religion or other hot-button subjects with people you see often. I've often thought this is one of the reasons why sports and the weather are such popular topics for conversation.
Sometimes when I think of my Republcan relatives it makes me feel a LITTLE better about things. My uncle calls me and my mom pinko commie "expletive's" all the time, I just roll my eyes. He and my mom are polar opposites politically, but still the best of friends.
