Anyone have any friends or relatives out in S or SE Asia
where the tsunami hit?

My mother's parents live in Chennai, India, which is some miles inland from where the tsunami made landfall. They're OK, but her aunt died (heart attack, unrelated, just happened to be on the same day). Send good vibes over there.

1. I've got a 'friend of a friend' who's based in Nonthaburi, Thailand
outside Bangkok, but he's a wandering soul. And we haven't heard from him yet.

Sending good thoughts for all in that region.

10. Me too.
I have family in Sri Lanka. One of them is in England with some family members who live there so I know she's ok but we haven't heard from anyone else as of yet. I'm trying not to worry because their phone and power systems aren't good when there aren't any problems.

This has just been a really trying week for my family to first loose a cousin in Iraq and now this.

6. My boss was in Madras, India the day before it hit.
He's back in town, though. Safe and sound. Apparently his whole family is alright.

It's so tragic.

7. My brother, his wife and son live in Bangkok. I finished talking to his
wife and she told me Bangkok was unaffected. So, to anyone with friends or family in Bangkok they're probably fine.
