HELP please

I need a good response to this freeper's posting:

"I decided to try and explain what Clinton did to the military in terms a 9 year old could understand.

If you have something that costs $100 a month for 8 years and you don't pay it, you need to spend $9600 to catch up. How long would it take to make up the difference, if you only spend $125 a month toward the bill?

The maintenance and upgrade budgets were treated like this under Clinton.

Which liberal can actually perform basic math? "

It's a construct made out of nothing. There are no facts present. There is no argumentation. Just a priori reasoning juxtaposed against the post hoc fallacy with a sprinklinbg of false proportions for spice.

I've been arguing with him online for a year. I can't stand him. He claims to be African American and conservative. He hates Clinton and loves *. But I am usually able to outsmart him. I just can't think of a good argument for this incredibly stupid statement. And I figured someone on DU would have more knowledge on this issue than I do.

The only thing I can think of is to commend him for teaching his child to hate at such a young age.

That should have lasted 10 years because someone wanted to play soldier with other people's lives.

And the winding down of the military started under Bush I under the direction of Cheney.

if you owe 9600 bucks and pay it off at 125 a month, it would take 6.4 years. Is this a trick problem or something?

During 2000, there was plenty of debate about what to do with the surplus...but Bush NEVER mentioned anything about military spending! He did mention tax cuts for millionaires SEVERAL TIMES....so apparently Bush didn't care about military spending either.

Besides, military cuts started under Bush41. If 'nobody paid the bill for 8 years,' that problem lies with Poppy Bush, not Clinton.
