Drudge headline: Biblical Disaster
Actually, I was sort of waiting for this to start. This is the headline topic for Drudge this evening. Links to a general news article about the major disaster activity in Asia. The title comes only from a tiny quote in the article:

Michael Dobbs, a reporter for The Washington Post, was swimming around a tiny island off a Sri Lankan beach at about 9:15 a.m. when his brother called out that something strange was happening with the sea.

Then, within minutes, "the beach and the area behind it had become an inland sea, rushing over the road and pouring into the flimsy houses on the other side. The speed with which it all happened seemed like a scene from the Bible - a natural phenomenon unlike anything I had experienced before," he wrote on the Post's Web site.

Fascinating how everything now becomes a religious issue! Kinda scary.

4. Wake me up if the Red Sea parts
or Bush repents of his sins. That would be a "Biblical" miracle!

6. Of course!
This happened in a part of the world where most people aren't Christians. The next thing that's going to happen is we're going to hear they had it coming because they reject Christ.

I just can't resist checking them out every now and then, especially when they are figuring out what they should think about something that has happened in the world.

14. What would these fruitloops have posted
if they were alive and owned computers during the Ice Age? They would somehow find ways to connect it to the Bible. I've heard them relate Clinton's blow job to the Bible. When their car breaks down, they manage to find something in the Bible that's related.

12. If it were really a Biblical disaster akin to Noah's flood
Sri Lanka would look like the Grand Canyon, according to Xian fundie logic.

Still, I have to take this one as a matter of common speech usage. Besides, those massive Biblical disasters all happened in the Tanakh, or "Old Testament". The Tanakh isn't "old" for Jews, since they don't believe Jesus was the Messiah so his teachings didn't supercede their people's history.
