Very good news from Latin America.
As our attention is focused on the Middle East, Asia and the tragedies unfolding there, both natural and man made, quietly Latin nations are building strong democracies away from the usual meddling by Uncle Sam in that part of the world. Venezuela has become the leader of this movement along with Brazil. Argentina and Chile, long the home of right wing tyrants carefully nurtured by the likes of Kissinger and Nixon, are now model democracies. The sweep of old tyrants is not too far off. The entire continent is going to become a model for other nations.

1. Good but....
I am sure the "United States of Imperialism" will find a way to stop that if it can no longer exploit the region's resources and workers.

3. :) read more, things are looking up.
notice how columbia is becoming a nightmare and that's where the majority of our $, time, and muscle goes in this region.

there seems to be a definite unpleasant correlation of: US infuence = Bad for Latin American nation. things seem to be looking up (from where they were before).

10. Find a non-Gusano site.....
You're the one making an assertion. One highly suspect link won't work. Google yourself!

I'm sure that Cuba has sent aid of various sorts to Venezuela.

8. Ha! Then why aren't the rabidly anti-chavez media outlets shut down?
Why are most of the coup-plotters walking around free? Why are all of the "strike" (lockout) organizers imprisoned?

Because what you are spreading is a lie.

9. They are doing very well. Good for them.
Ever since they banded together against the rich nations a year ago last September, things are getting better for them.
