Anybody ever heard of Donnie Fowler?
I got an email from the Al Gore support center stating that Al Gore endorses him for DNC chair.

Here is Fowler's website:

1. That is one person, not Al Gore. Chris needs to be clear on it.
There is a GD Politics discussion going on.

3. Here is some information from Daily Kos.
Edited on Mon Dec-27-04 02:15 PM by Pirate Smile
Donnie Fowler, son of former DNC chairman Don Fowler, one-time Wesley Clark campaign manager, and chief of John Kerry's Michigan campaign, is currently the most aggressive candidate for the DNC chairmanship.
Aggressive in that he's announced his candidacy, has a website, is calling not just DNC members, but just about everyone he knows in politics (including every former Clinton staffer, whether they have a vote or not). At the Orlando cattle call a couple weeks ago, Fowler was the only candidate in attendance in full campaign mode, with lawn signs, buttons, stickers, etc.

If you don't know anything about Fowler but would like to learn more, you could do worse than watch this C-SPAN interview in Real Player.

Fowler is running as a reform candidate. Whether his rhetoric checks up against his history remains to be seen, but he's not someone who should be dismissed outright (unlike, that DLC-minded, energy industry lobbyist Jim Blanchard).

5. Watch the video
It's terrific! You'll be so glad you did - here's a Dem loudly and positivily standing up for US. Refreshing and inspiring. Go watch now.

6. I saw him when he was originally on and went after the caller telling him
the Democrats didn't want people like him anyway.

4. Well, for starters, he's former DNC Chair Don Fowler's son (strike one)
Was Clark's campaign manager for a while

Is young - 35 or so

Is a strong advocate of 'net campaigning, etc.

Worked in Clinton's and Gore's campaigns previously- field director level, IIRC.

Google can undoubtedly fill in some blanks.
