Sumatra earthquake set off by nuclear bombs?
Ok, this is going to sound really strange - you might want to get your tin-foil hats on, but I just got off the phone with a friend who said he was talking to a friend who had a friend who was in the Navy a while back who said he was talking to a friend who is still in the Navy who said that he thought it was possible that a secret mission the Navy was sent on last week to Sumatra was too coincidental with the earthquake. He speculates that an opeartion he heard about last month "Operation Deep Sea Ballast Blast" was based upon a theoretical plan he read about in an interview with Oliver Stone in which Oliver recounts a secret plan the US Military has "at the ready" in case they need to do a big "distraction" type event after elections.

Anyway, my friend says that his friend (whose friend is friends with the guy who used to be in the Navy) told him that the US might have set off nuke devices in Sumatra to start the earthquake that caused the tidal wave in order to distract the DU'ers from finding out about the rigged vote in Ohio (and the voter supression). That's why * has been so quiet about this, he doesn't want to be in the news a whole lot since he knows that if he is in the news it might just remind the DU'ers that he is not really President.

So, don't let the death of 100,000 + people distract us from the real story at hand : vote fraud, election fraud, whatever you want to call it. The Tsunami is nothing but a distraction. The media is going to cover it like crazy and forget all about the recount in Ohio! And I bet you guys didn't even see that Kerry got an extra 714 votes in the hand recount, combined with Bush's 314 extra votes that means Kerry picked up an entire 300 votes in the recount!!! Man, the media is IGNORING that in favor of covering this staged Tsunami! Can you believe that! OMG, we need to get Olberman and Bev on this right away and make sure they cover the REAL story, not this hokey pokey Tsunami crap. I mean, come on, what could be more important? Vote fraud or the death of 100s of thousands (and millions of people homeless) accross Asia (and one Supermodel with a broken pelvis)?

Get real people...don't be distracted.

11. I confused that secret mission with...
Operation Spongebob lives in a pineapple

That's the one where the Air Force seeds the clouds and causes rain for 40 days and 40 nights. You can see where I got it mixed up.

Or did you mean to say "moron".

If the latter is correct, then you can visit this website for more information:

2. there is no evidence for this at all.
Nuclear detonations cannot be hid, and they have distinctive seismic signatures.

The tsunami is not a distraction in the US. Most people will forget about it in a few days.

> Nuclear detonations...have distinctive seismic signatures.

How do we know that? How many nuclear bombs have been set-off in deep underwater? None?

The freepers recognized a long time ago that Indonesia was a large threat to their dictatorship. There are over 183 million muslims in Indonesia, which is by far the largest muslim poplation in the world. That's three times larger than even Iran! Indonesia was mentioned by those violent idiots as the next target after Afghanistan. They were wrong that it wasn't next, but maybe only slightly wrong? If I lived in that area of the world, I would be very afraid of another US sneak attack.

35. And did you notice that OBL had a statement out like right after?
You know OBL has been captured long ago and they keep him in a tent over in Area 51 and pop in and video him every time they need a message. Nobody realized that the message that came out the other day was really an attempt by the CIA to blame AL-Q for the Tsunami. Of course it was a rather weak attempt, but it's their MO, so what do you expect.

Good points thought vpigrad

Undersea testing was conducted by the French right up until at least the mid 1980's. There is plenty of data out there to determine if it was an underwater nuke.

39. USAF Papers-Underground nuke testing is difficult to detect
Edited on Wed Dec-29-04 02:10 PM by satori
The USAF published The Counter proliferation Papers in 1999 saying that Top Secret underground Nuclear testing in a hollowed out cavern is difficult to detect.

September 1999

The Counterproliferation Papers
Future Warfare Series No. 2
USAF Counterproliferation Center
Air War College
Air University
Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama

Underground testing in a hollowed out cavern is difficult to detect. A West Germany Army Magazine, Wehrtechnik, in June 1976, claimed that Western reports documented a 1963 underground test in the Negev. Other reports show a test at Al-Naqab, Negev in October 1966.83

A bright flash in the south Indian Ocean, observed by an American satellite on 22 September 1979, is widely believed to be a South Africa-Israel joint nuclear test. It was, according to some, the third test of a neutron bomb. The first two were hidden in clouds to fool the satellite and the third was an accident—the weather cleared.84

1. magnitude of quake/energy released was equal to about 300 nukes.

2. if you could build a bomb with that much power would it be able sustain the water pressure to get deep enough to plant the bomb for the explosion?

3. the administration does not need to disract from Ohio because the media does not do their fucking jobs and the administration has all but ignored Ohio.

53. Not Quite Right, Sir
The energies released were equivalent not to "about 300 nukes" but to several million nuclear weapons, at the least.

The idea that this event as any relation to human action is risible, and requires serious levels of ignorance and delusion to sustain. It is utterly beyond any extant human power to contrive.

Provide more detail about the Oliver Stone part of it to anchor any potential credibility.

The only conspiracy I'm going to follow is whether there were detection indications that were kept from the leaders of these countries. Plus, I believe I have read and I tend to give credence to something I read about those who think they can control the world and who would rather have fewer poor people to control.
