Why aren't flags flying at half mast?

This was an international disaster. The world mourned for us, why can't we mourn for the world?

This country doesn't give a shit about anyone else...The entire world mourned for us on sept. 11 because we're americans and we expect them too....When anyone else dies it doesn't matter cuz they aren't worth as much.

Not all of them, but more than I would have expected. I agree with you though. This should be a national mandate.

Pssttt...half mast is on a ship. Half staff is on land.

6. IDEA:

I just called the White House comment line at 202-456-1111 requesting the president order the U.S. flag flown at half-staff in honor of the tens of thousands of lives lost in the tsunami disaster. You can also email at president@whitehouse.gov. I don't believe this will actually accomplish anything, but it made me feel a wee bit better having had my say on a matter so easy to implement and virtually free to the taxpayers.
