An aid package that helps..and garners good will at the same time

The developed countries should provide strong building supplies, and hire the ablebodied survivors to rebuild.

For the time being, they should set up modular buildings in a community fashion with school for the displaced, a clinic, a gathering place and dormitory areas for sleeping...and provide transportation to the rebuilding sites.

Perhaps the countries involved should "seize" or reclaim the waterfront and not allow the chi-chi resorts to even rebuild on the beaches.

Maybe the beaches should be available for ALL to enjoy.. Perhaps they should revert to what works best .. Beaches for launching boats for fishermen and tourist boats..for recreation, but NOT for lodging.

Temporary buildings on beaches might be ok.. Wherever the "watermark" is should be the start of the "new" town/village, with the space from there to the beach, as a common park to be used and enjoyed for all, but "owned" by no one.
