Havnt heard any news of Cheney for a couple of weeks.

Is he dead?
Is he holed up safely away from light of day, with a pint of soil from his native land?

"Terrist" attack, but he has to make it look like it didn't happen on Shrub's "watch." Well what the Hell, they've already convinced most that Shrub actually did win the election, so what difference does it make.

It is *so* obvious that the Cheney terror team is busy planning the 'aftermath' of the oncoming (lab-created) bird flu pandemic. The U.S. gov't will claim it is the result of the tsunami/earthquake disaster.

11. He only pops up every 2 years.
Think about it. From 2000-2002 he was pretty invisible...until he started his mid-term fundraising. Then he was MIA until the 2004 fundraising started in ernest.

This guy obviously is doing something, but he makes damn sure we have no idea what it is.

Is there a reason Koffi Annan was there? Perhaps trying to knock some sense into the real President of the US? Or, being chastised over calling the Iraqi war a war crime? Was there a reason Koffi didn't get back to the UN for three days after the disaster? Could it have been Dick? Is this a mystery?

Annan has obviously known for a long time that speaking directly with bush** is futile. Out president's short term memory must be akin to that of the protagonist of Memento.

Cheney probably gave the call personally to up the aid effort ten fold, but it's pretty clear to me that this won't be enough. And if you think like Dick, you must realize that this is an opportunity to make ammends with the Muslim world (at least in a superficial way). The Iraq fiasco will continue as planned, and will be "peaceful" for at least another six months.

She expresses how tough she knows it is (but not from experience of course), and how grateful everybody is to all the troops and their families, except those troops who might become Democrats and run against Republicans in which case they aren't earning their purple hearts and they're certainly not "nice" people...
