That church across the street

There is a baptist church nearby with a marquee outside and all. I've had to pass by this church every day for the last 2+ years I've lived where I currently live.

During the 2004 campaigns, they put up a message on their marquee that described the choice between candidates as a choice between the good and the wicked. Below that they advertised their series of "meetings" where "issues" like the " protecting the sanctity of marriage" were discussed. One guess as to who the "wicked" was in their message.

Tonight I noticed that same church now has rows of little white crosses on the lawn. There’s a small billboard next to that display reads something like "Each little cross represents 10 of the 2600 babies murdered every…" I didn't’t catch it all.

The marquee nearby now preaches something about God saying he "knew you before he put you in the womb."

I want to ask these people - one day, in the middle of one of their sessions, I want to just walk in and ask them how they feel about the tens of thousands of babies and children and women and men who have been murdered in Iraq for no other reason than george w. bush’s insistence that it be so. I’d say, show me Christ in that, you sanctimonious fakes. Tell me what "wicked" means to you, hollow impostors. Let's talk about right and wrong -

live encircled by such churches myself, the entire town sits in for those sermons, if we confronted their hipocrasy, they'd tar and feather us, run us out of town on a rail, and say it was god's will.

So let's all go shopping after church and support abortions in China by filling our carts with cheap imported goods from China at Wal-Mart. And while you're there, don't forget the clothing department, where you'll find a wide choice of fashionable attire made by children in third world sweat shops.
