PHOTO: Bush in compassionate deep thought for tsunami victims
Edited on Tue Jan-04-05 03:52 PM by Bluebear

"In this photo released by the White House Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, President Bush talks with Secretary of State Colin Powell and Florida Governor Jeb Bush, while working in the Oval Office, during their trip to tsunami affected areas."

Of course, it probably took 70 shots to get that just-right pensive stare on film...note also how the White House also stresses that he was actually "working" instead of clearing brush for five minutes.

1. Damn, they need MORE money?!?
That may explain the expression.

And on a side note, I think I have the exact same tie he is wearing. DAMN IT, I loved that one.

6. The photo looks wrong
Doesn't his head look disproportionately small compared to the rest of him? The photo says it was released by the White House. I wouldn't put it past them to photoshop the photo.

11. They want so badly to capture Bush looking other than an idiot
they fail so miserably. primary reason: the man simply looks like an idiot when he fakes being human for the camera.

his natural state is the smirk of "who cares what you think"

17. Absolutely. They make things worse releasing photos like this.
At least for those who he doesn't have a spell over. those folks probably would pay good money for a reprint of this photo, like the ones he sold of himself on 9/11.

15. God Fails to Break His Own Record for Killing
On a related note and in completely bad taste...

http://www.landoverbaptist.org/news0105/asia.html

Freehold, Iowa - Not since the time of Noah has God used water so effectively to harass sinners and wreak havoc upon those who don't flatter Him with sufficient regularity. As unsaved, impoverished Hindus toiled in beachside shacks on Christmas instead of exchanging expensive gifts from American department stores to celebrate the Baby Jesus' Birthday, the Lord was plotting their horrific, briny demise. True Christians know from the Great Flood that one of God's favorite ways to indiscriminately kill enormous swaths of children is by drowning them and watching them gasp for air and then float like little discarded Styrofoam cups in the tide. Sometimes, He extends an enormous hand as if He is about to rescue the bobbing tot, only to retract it at the last minute to teach the drowning child a valuable lesson about the ineffable nature of God's love.

While American Christians have long delighted in the carnage that resulted from the Lord's irascibility as depicted in countless, grisly episodes in the Old Testament, the present-day flooding in Asia brought home the enormous power of their deity more vividly because of its immediacy.

25. I am so sick of this Potempkin photo ops
this one reminds me of the one on AF1, when he was running away from whatever he perceived the attack on 9-11 to be.

Then, suddenly, we see, he was not RUNNING away. He was doing hard work on AF1, by talking on the telephone on his way to a bunker somewhere in the west.

And, in all arrogance, sold those posed photos, for fifty dollars apiece.

Is the cap still on his pen? Looks like it to me. I am sick of his poorly acted, put on face.
