In what way is the Bush admin. different from Don Corleone's Family?l
Look at their methods first. Fraud.Intimidation.Character Assassination.Infinite greed. Subterfuge.Lying.Stealing.Fixing elections, contracts, budgets.Undermining opposing voices.

The best self incriminating voice belongs to none other than the Consigliere Rove himself: "We are going to fuck him like he has never been fucked before". And you can take it to the bank,I am sure.

Give the Corleones another few generations and they can have a son become president too. They just need to perfect that well-mannered social veneer -- and with their dough they can start by sending their sons and daughters off to the Ivy League schools to acquire the requisite polish and connections to old money and old families.

The Bushes? Really makes you wonder...

But I like the analogy, y'know? Clearly, this clan's "Fredo" is the president now. I guess Neil would be Sonny. Jeb is more like Tom Hayden, though Tom was adopted and Jeb isn't. That means Karl (ugh) is perhaps a very fat, pasty version of... Michael: ruthless, increasingly hardened, on top of the world but in reality filled with an inner emptiness.

Blech. "The Godfather" movies are some of my favorites. I gotta stop making these comparisons b/f I start associating the Bush crime family in my mind with the comparatively benign Corleone family!
