Who is to say FOX/Ailes/Rove didn't post on DU only to "quote" us later
How exactly is their "reporting" of anything said on a message board news? Why not quote Yahoo boards or graffiti while they are at it to "show" what liberals are saying on the web?

2. Quite honestly, any "news" organization that goes digging through a board.
Looking for odd/wacky stuff to report is bound to find it.

Reporting it as news is just stupid and silly.

6. Too much time on their hands. It must be "hard work" trying to look busy
while finding every excuse in the world to avoid their duty to work as "the public watchdog" during the most fiendish pResidency our country has ever experienced.

7. Someone on Brit Hume's staff actually read the NY Times
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,143277,00.html

And right before their head exploded they decided to file a story stating what they had read in the Times. This is what Faux calls journalism.

5. Eyyyupppp. We've all seen strange posting here
which simply appears to look like calculated attempts to represent Democrats as complete loons. I've noticed it occurring sporadically from almost the first day I read posting here.

It would be risk-free placing outlandish raving and preposterous posturing here, then to have it reinforced by a second bogus DU'er, and a third, then call attention to it publically, pointing out "extremism" at D.U. which was never written by Democrats.

9. Oh, I don't really think we need any of their help.
We've got plenty of home grown loons.

If every nutty thing on this board is planted by the pubs then they've got way too much time on their hands. You'd think world domination would keep them busier than that.

10. This occurred to me too. Talk about manufacturing consent.
Some of the freepier posts could have easily been a set-up to drive us all crazy, and there are a few posters who are repeat offenders on this.

I have been alerting on these, and I think everyone should try to keep an eye out for people who repeatedly ask probing questions with no discernable rationale or background.

14. Sorry for posting another thread....
I just think that people need to wake up to what their "journalists" are up to. They don't question this administration, they "report" things at face value.

12. Because
there are multiple threads, some posted by long time DUers, that equal or surpass the tinfoil hattery by DUers with lower post counts. So they don't NEED to create a puppet to find something crazy to quote.

And because DU is one of the largest message boards for Democrats and liberals, it's a worthwhile avenue of attack for the right.
