If there is another 9/11, what would happen?

Who should we hold accountable?

Should we listen to the RW'ers and round up the Muslims and send them all to Concentration Camps?

OR

Should the American People hold the Bush Administration accountable?

But I wish we could.

The cynics will tell you exactly what will happen - is it self-fulfilling prophecy through visualization, or are they just always right?

BushyBot does no wrong so it is Clinton. The last real president this country had.

They probably already have news releases prepared for all types of scenarios. Trip on a shoelace - Clinton, civil war, yep, Clinton. Impeachment - yeah, that's Clinton's fault, too. Emperor BushyBot has so ordered.

If there is another 9/11 it's over.
Depending on the scope of the attack, the place, and the number of people impacted, it could be over for us.
Martial law.
Checkpoints.
Deep suspicion and troops on the streets with automatic weapons.


I don't even want to think about the other option.

The people rise up and say enough is enough.

That's what would happen.

Once martial law is in force, a resistance would be difficult, if not impossible, to launch.
Unfortunately, we are undone by technology.
In WWII, for example, the French resistance was possible because there was lowtech or notech, and keeping track of people was difficult, papers were easy to forge, there were large areas of unpatrolled borders, people could pose as other people fairly easily, because by the time the ID could be checked, the people would be long gone.

Technology will prevent any credible resistance to fascism this time around, but once martial law is in place, ID chips will be implanted subdermally that can be traced via satellite. It will be nearly impossible to pose as other people, to move unfettered or to escape oppression because it will follow you around wherever you go. It will literally be underneath your own skin.

I've always wondered if I would have the courage to physically obstruct a tank like that, under such circumstances.

I'd love to know what was going through the mind of the driver in those moments.

Bush admin to protect us. And then they will push through more real bad legislation (patriot 2-10 etc).

Really, the chances of another Civil War in this country are going up all the time now.

Let's wait and see, and react accordingly.

Just like there WILL be "another 1-10" tomorrow.
In fact, I can guarantee it will come the day after 9-10.

But considering how Shrub and especially Dickweed pounded the airwaves with their mantra "Only we can keep you safe" -- I think we should rub it back in their faces for all its worth.

God help us if it were to occur, but I know I would not shut up after-wards. I would yell at the top of my lungs that this administration claimed they were the only ones who could protect us and "THEY DIDN'T DO SQUAT!!"

But that's just me. :)
