Is Bill Clinton trying to help position Hillary for a presidential run?
I heard somewhere that Hillary was trying to position herself to become republican light. Now that Bill is aligning himself with "pop" and "son", is he further solidifying that jump that the Clinton's are becoming republican light?

1. What do you mean 'becoming'?

tortures at Abu Ghraib. Their silence is the dog that didn't bark.

On Edit: The umbilical cord in this case runs through Tony Blair's navel.

3. Of course - but they are center-left in the Dem world - to the right of DU
Indeed Bill stopped Hill's push for single paper national health because he wanted corporate buy in.

And we, the insurance industry, promised that buy in - and then stabbed him in the back (it is fun to remember that this was exactly what the insurance industry did to Nixon on the same topic - folks never learn about trusting the insurance industry).

:-)

In any case GOP-lite is a phrase that can be used for a major percentage of the party - and without that percentage of the party, GOP HEAVY always wins.

4. Hillary was not one of the "True 32".
So as far as I'm concerned, she does not speak for anyone but the corporate elites.

6. All that talk about the Dems throwing the election
to set up Hillary in '08 is enough to make you wonder.
I recall this account of how the Clintons got this mysterious call to throw an election only to be rewarded with a future win. Hillary, apparently being green and new to the game, mentioned it after Clinton won the Whitehouse.

It could be relegated to conspiracy theory, but sometimes it creeps into my mind. It wouldn't surprise me in the least.
