Nude sculpture given A-OK

Penticton council has voted to let it all hang out for a a nude male sculpture.
The statue's genitalia were covered by a metal plate until today's meeting when Penticton Art Gallery Curator Kurtis Collins appealed for the unveiling.
Mayor David Perry was the only one opposed, saying he didn't think the city needed this kind of public art.
The nude statue is set up in a Penticton traffic circle.

I love how the guy shows up with the plate he took off after he pleaded with the artist to allowit to be put on.

1. Oh God, heaven forbid that someone actually sees a penis, something
half the people in the world have and see daily. This Penisophobia is ridiculous in the modern world,, along with rampant nudity taboos. Haven't these people seen the statue of David or much of religious art of the Renaissance?
