Stephen Colbert nails it!
From last night's Daily Show with Stephen Colbert
{paraphasing heavily}

Colbert: CBS News' use of a fraudulent document was their second mistake.

Jon Stewart: Second mistake? What was their first?

Colbert: Presenting evidence. You see, you can get more out of a baseless accusation and a rising voice inflection than out of actual proof. For example - "Does Jon Stewart spend his leisure time orally pleasuring Teamster's union members?" (rising inflection in voice)

Stewart: Uh, no.

A masterful analysis of what's wrong with today's "pundits".

2. I saw it, they were hilarious, got the point across quite nicely,
as they so often do.

3. Saw it last night on the West Coast.
Loved it! And, I thought for a second (as I was cracking up) how hard it would be to protest after a contention like that is made - if you should so desire.

That's the Lakoff framing idea at its best. I've been experimenting making a clearly audible statement like, 'That's a sure-fire ticket to an increase in domestic violence and child abuse!' Once you make the GREAT FRAME, I've noticed your opposition never recovers ... and is on the defense the whole time.

5. I liked the previous night when he said House Democrats were
forced to pass a sweet potato from buttcheek to buttcheek.

A longstanding tradition dating back to when LBJ was known as "Two Potato Johnson".

8. I took it as a very sharp hit on the Swift Boat Liars...
cuz of the part about "discuss it for 8 week and let the public figure out."
