Who saw the Daily Show last night?
Bush's "discussion" forum of social security with only approved people with questions that already agree with the plan to privatize Social Security?

I never watch cable news, and only a little local news so seeing this was stomach churning.

Basically, Bush is creating a one thought, one party system that has as it's only input people THAT ALREADY AGREE WITH HIM like say, Communist countries.n (CIA purge is one major example)

It's nothing I didn't know-but seeing it is so unbelievably creepy.

It seems to bolster those of us that think the election had not just voter supression but fraud. You don't need the people that don't agree with you-hell you don't even need to convince them of anything-because the votes are not a problem. Presenting the one party view is all that is necessary because that's all there is.

4. The funniest clip and commentary was related to bush's comments
on how black males die earlier than all other males. As a result the SS system treats them unfairly.

Stewart commented this was a problem with SS not with the greater community that creates the situations.

The face of the young black man next to bush when he was saying this wsa priceless. It was like he just realized he'd been had by this idiot.

7. I know when I see what comes out of the Chimp's mouth
sometimes it really is like some damn comedy sketch or something. (but so sad because we know he really is President!?) As Stewart said, it's hard to watch the guy.

8. He looked FLABBERGASTED....
The look on his face was "Me, die early? You first, mutha!" You could see the whole range of emotion, and JS nailed the whole sense of it with his commentary.

what did you think about "playing dice" comment or the "black folk die
younger, therefore privatization is in YOUR interest," innuendo?

9. You know what you realize looking at him?
Edited on Thu Jan-13-05 03:17 PM by Harvey Korman
He's so stupid, I don't think he even knows he's lying half the time. That's why he's the perfect front man! It's not even ACTING!

Like the "black men die earlier" comment--if you were watching him, it's almost like he was working it out in his head and then finished with confidence in a show of "D'well, dat makes say-ence!"

5. You want to see REALLY creepy?

http://www.opinionjournal.com

Brought to you by the intellectually thin, morally bankrupt editorial page of the Wall Street Journal. Dig in to any article posted there, and look at 'read responses'.

The way they publish, it would seem to the uninformed that 95/100 people agree with the Administration and its policies. Curious, indeed.

11. damn, man
That's some sick stuff. i personally can't stand it. it makes me feel, well, not so peaceful. my wife does that, though. she'll listen to Rush "the junkie" or "no dick" O'riley, then come to me yelling about their obvious ignorance. she's kinda sadistic that way. But like the man said "Know Your Enemy".

A bigger dickwad than James Taranto has never slithered down the pike. I built that website for them, and haven't felt clean since.

10. I was hoping this townhall part would be on JS...
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2005/01/20050111-4.html

THE PRESIDENT: Good, thanks. Well done. (Applause.) Now what about your -- introduce your mom.

MS. STONE: I would like to introduce my mom. This is my mother, Rhoda Stone. And she is grandmother of three, and originally from Helsinki, Finland, and has been here over 40 years.

THE PRESIDENT: Fantastic. Same age as my mother.

MS. STONE: Just turned 80.

12. I saw it
and really know nothing about **'s claim that Black men die younger than whites ruse. Yet, it left me wondering, aren't the statistics regarding the longevity af Afro-Amercan men skewed horrendously by the innordinantly frequent occurances of gang related inner city gang related violence amongst young Blacks?

Just asking because I seriously doubt that there is a inherant proclivity for early death based on genes alone.

In other words, it was total BS.
