WMD search called off...the right is quiet...!
So...does anyone else find it strange that the right is deafly quiet when it comes to the WMD search being called off...is it that they are afraid to admit that they were wrong...? or that they are afraid to say that they were duped...?

If you ask me...their silence is a clue that they don't want to admit that they were lied to...but then again...they still support the boy king...

morons...

1. It's not just the right.
Where are the mea culpa's and firings in the media that should result from this. Embedded, my ass!

2. The silence is deafening.
And because they're not reporting it, the rest of Americans will think it's not a big deal.

4. This is such a good point...
CBS quashes dissent within its ranks by firing people for telling the truth, but utilizing a document that cannot be authenticated in the process.

Bush and his felonious mob of neo-cons lie to the world, murder and maim countless numbers of people and are still smugly strutting around like Mick Jagger on the concert stage.

Where are the pink slips, eh?

8. Yeah right, 'an old story'
That's because they knew it was bullshit from day one. You know, my only hope right now is for some second term scandal that will force chimpy and his gang of thugs out a-la Nixon. I mean, this should qualify right? But times have changed and it is highly unlikely that any 'rogue' (read left-leaning) reporters in MSM will ever cross them without being 'silenced'.

6. Didn't a well known media figure, Bush apologist
and sex maniac named O'Liely state on air that he would apologize to his audience if it turned out there were no WMDs?

9. I just wrote a letter to the editor...

of my local paper here in AZ...hope it does something...if they even print it.

What do you think...?
----------------
During the past week I learned something, the so called "liberal media" is now a myth. During this past week we have seen story after story about CBS, Dan Rather, and the others who were fired for the "memogate" fiasco. And we heard Scott McClellan say that the White House is happy that someone is being held "accountable".
Well, I'm not happy. Month after month we were told of the dangers that Iraq posed to this country by the "stockpiles" of deadly weapons that were in Iraq, the weapons we were told they "had" and could use on us. So what happens, the search for the elusive WMD was called off. Excuse me?
So the main reason for this war, the main reason that our soldiers were sent into Iraq is no more. Where is the accountability? Who is going to be held accountable? Will those who came up with this lie get more medals while our soldiers keep dying?
The silence from the media and the Republicans is deafening. "Support our troops", sure thing, hold someone accountable for putting them in harms way over lies.

(name removed)
--------------------

I think we really need to pound this in...posting on blogs, LTTE's and the like...

10. Clinton was flayed alive for "bombing an aspirin factory"
"wagging the dog" using faulty intelligence (so the Repukes said) and killing a night janitor. All in the name of "drawing attention away from the impeachment proceedings" under the guise of "trying to take out Osama bin Laden".

Wow, Clinton ordered strikes which killed ONE night janitor, based on "faulty intelligence". Never mind that the Repukes never let Clinton blame it on the CIA. It was all his fault.

13. Actually, to say the bombing killed just "one night janitor" is unjust.

The Al-Shifa plant was the only source of 90% of Sudan's drugs needed to treat malaria and TB, and 50% of its entire pharmaceutical production.

Noam Chomsky has noted that the death toll attributable to the bombing "continues quietly to rise," and cites the "tens of thousands of people, many of them children," who have died from a range of treatable ailments. And the chairman of the factory, Dr Idris Eltayeb, remarked that the destruction of his factory was "just as much an act of terrorism as the twin towers - the only difference is we know who did it."

11. Where is the outrage over Bushco ignoring looting of explosives too?
The 'war on terror' claim is also a phony excuse for the invasion since if Bushco had seriously considered Iraq to be a hotbed of terrorists supported by Saddam, the #1 priority after the invasion along with finding Saddam & Sons would have been to secure or destroy all stockpiles of weapons and explosives, not merely to search for WMD's to justify invading.

Since Iraq did not pose a genuine threat before the invasion, Bushco considered it a 'slam dunk' operation to easily topple Saddam and relocate our military bases to Iraq from increasingly hostile Saudi Arabia thus protecting 'our' interests in the region and gaining control of the oil flow.

Bushco did not expect Iraqi resistance to U.S. occupation or any terrorist insurgency and therefore failed to recognize the danger posed by looting of the unsecured caches of explosives. All the evidence so far seems to prove that the invasion was not done in good faith and has not made us safer since taking down Saddam $ Sons unleashed a horrendous backlash of violence by inciting terrorism where it didn't exist before.
