16. I think there is something to this
I think there is some sort of email list that is sent out whenever C-Span opens their phone lines telling people what to say. It's amazing how so many of the bush-supporter calls are exactly the same. I wish other callers would start calling them on this - making a parody of what they say, something like "I see the right wing talking points of the moment are...." and then parrot back what they're saying.

17. always thus
they have phone banked C-SPAN for years. You could always tell by the way they prefaced with "I used to be a Democrat, but..." if only half of those callers were legit there would only be 3 Democrats left in the country. Whats worse is the way C-SPAN works their phone lines, and their choice of guests. They really balance the discussion between center right and far right quite nicely. Traitors.

18. Oh, yes! The "I used to be a Democrat...
line. So funny. I heard it every morning repeatedly on CSPAN when I used to watch. I've given up. I just can't handle starting my day with the unimaginative conservatives struggling to read their crib sheets. And "I'm behind George W. Bush 100%!" Hey, you shouldn't be behind any human individual 100%. If you are, you're in a cult and you've been brain-washed. Oh, wait. Now I understand.

Where were all the dems.

"Barbara Boxer is just sooo far to the left."

"They were disrespecting her."

"Blah blah blah. I support Bush. Blah."

8. The best one was, "I normally wouldn't support a woman for SS,
but I support Condi". The guy sounded like he was on his second case of Pabst.

10. "The hardest job in the world"
I forget who said this, but a political comedian observed some time ago that the hardest job in the world is that of the employees of C-Span who have to take these idiotic calls and remain civil.

I was listening to the ones in response to Rice -- and my GAWD these people certainly were morans.

As to why they have to be asked to turn down their tvs -- I think its obvious -- they want to hear themselves, and play that they are Rush Limbaugh.

It is significant that Bush's most fervent supporters are the least pro-democracy -- they have no tolerance for opposing points of view. Funny that they pay lip service to "freedom" but ridicule its existance in their own country.

I guess these people are enjoying the Age of Fascism that Bush's re-election has brought about -- let's hope that the idiots who were fooled into voting for fascism will catch on to what they've gotten us into, sooner than later....

"I just wanna say I support George W. Bush....blah, blah, blah".

their teeth in yet.

My dad use to sound like that in the morning until he put his teeth in.

"Yea,!" (pause) "hello?" (pause) "Am I on?" (pause) "This is Rita from Atlanta and I support President Bush 100%!"

"I'm sick and tired of these liberals calling in blaming the war on President Bush!"

"He gets down on his knees every night and asks God what to do."

"I use to be a Democrat until 9/11 but I voted for Bush both times"

"Hello?"

All with the sound of gums and lips flapping together.
