Gawd. I woke up to the radio alarm. What is the FIRST THING I hear?
"Today is George W Bush's inauguration. The 55th one and the first since 9/11."

WHAT THE FUCK IS IT WITH 9/11? Why does Bush HAVE TO RELY SO BLATANTLY ON DEATH, AND THE PROMOTING OF DEATH?

This is no president of life. It's a president of death.

I don't know why I'm angry. I should be used to this corrupt cesspool known as America by know. My beliefs mean nothing, neither do yours. I agree on Republicans (or at least the moderates who I work with) and theirs no longer mean anything either.

Today is the first day of the rest of our lives.

We must be prepared for the worst. We have no choice.

2. Really! As horrible as 9/11 was, when we think of other
things such as the horrible battles of WWII, the huge loss of life in the Civil War, flu epidemics, etc.... there have been many worse things. I guess that is hard to believe for someone who lived through the terror in NYC that day, but it's true.

Not to mention that Bush/Cheney and their neocon friends may have had something to do with the fact that 9/11 happened in the first place. It's not farfetched: such ploys have been used repeatedly throughout history, to help weak leaders get strength and power.

4. People are in denial now.....
Term two will be their wake-up call (yes, people can be THAT thick that they need to be punished, punished, and punished some more before a light goes on in their dense heads)

Years from now people will be talking about the Bush "presidency" and of course, that they NEVER voted for him. :eyes:

11. "that they never voted for him"... lol... J'ACCUSE!
I plan to be around years from now! Or maybe some young person whom I reach will be here... and there are PLENTY of people in this state who will not be able to deny that they spoke favorably of the murderer Bush. Heh-heh--I look forward to shouting down their denials. If I am still around, I hope the 20-yr-olds of tomorrow will look over and say to themselves... "Wow, that person is so old, they remember 9/11!" And the more thoughtful of them will then ask, how was it?? And I plan to tell them: BUSH DID IT. PERIOD.

7. I concur... LIHOP was confirmed and MIHOP isn't out of the question...
And I did not mean to sound insensitive to 9/11. As a clarification, 9/11 has been used SO OFTEN that it's worn down its own welcome, never mind misused for the lamest of reasons (not to mention the media chant "the first inauguration since 9/11.")

And I still get scared when I see a low-flying plane.

Which is ironic, I've feared death for a long time. Now I am waiting for armageddon, american-style, that antichrist* will bestow upon the world.

13. I'm afraid of a lot of things, but for some reason
(probably b/c I'm in the south, and I mean, what terrorist would BOTHER to bomb this place?) I did not feel fear for my own safety that day. I felt fear, but it was a fear that we were now waging war on our own soil... I knew it would take "them" some time to get around to this comparatively quiet area, so we'd be able to evacuate and/or prepare. Little did I know that "they" were our own administration.

Yes, it seems impossible that our own administration could have MIHOP or LIHOP. That suggestion was first made to me after Oklahoma City. "Ridiculous!" I shouted. Well, it was a historian who said that. I have since read enough history to realize that this sort of "provocateur" action is anything but rare in the game of power and politics--in fact, it is QUITE common. And while Oklahoma City was in some ways convenient for the administration, that convenience was a very indirect thing, whereas 9/11 was so very useful to Bush, it might as well have been gift wrapped with a card on it that said "To George, with love."

The mystery of who did 9/11 becomes very clear, all you have to do is ask yourself, Cui bono?

8. Makes sense. No part of the world is safe from 'natural' disasters.
The US has been hit, too... just after the US-interests had been.

10. Having been raised a Christian...
it was tempting to want to put blood, or something symbolic over the the door to my house like they did at the original passover. Yeah, I know.

I see this coronation and a second Bush rule as nothing but a curse. This time around, about half of America chose 'evil'. I wash my hands of this, as all of us here do. Let those who voted for this man experience the full brunt of their decision--and may the rest of us on this planet be left in peace. Okay, back to atheism and rationality...

14. He has nothing else
Ironic that he can run on the biggest failure in history. But, that is the story of our Great Fearless Leader.

It is only through fraud that he was President in the first place, and it is only through the attacks of 9/11 that he was able to install a climate of fear that allowed him to supress opposition and remain president, and it is only because of this growing climate of fear and a war he has started on lies but not yet finished that he is given a second Term (also, major props to Diebold).
