"From the day of our Founding, we have proclaimed that every man and woman on this earth has rights, and dignity, and matchless value, because they bear the image of the Maker of Heaven and earth."

Apparently nobody bothered to tell him that those rights really didn't apply at our founding if you happened to be black or female.

I swear, the man hasn't met an American ideal that he would work to put into practice, but no amount of shame will prevent him from claiming it in a speech.
