but the anti-Kerry threads today have been in extremely poor taste and the frequency of them has been more than slightly annoying. Give it a rest people, if you're going to slam someone, come out and say it in the thread title, and then keep it all in one thread. I was pointing at a certain poster/few posters who will remain unnamed spamming GD with Kerry hate posts today.

you have my support. I don't like any candidate spamming. It really gets under my skin....I tend to be reactive with intrusive spamers on a nice candidate thread. I'm working on defocusing this week.

Is it feeds into the "victim" status of the supporters of the different candidates. Then when legitimate issues and stands are brought up they are dismissed as more "picking on my poor candidate." Kerry deserves every bit of the flak he gets (IMHO) for his performance on the Iraq war resolution but this kind of crap is ridiculous.

I support Dean, but Kerry's a good Dem and I'd vote for him if he's the nominee. 'Nuff said!

I hear that LeftCoast. I am moving toward a Dean vote for the primary but if Kerry pulls it off I am throwing my vote his way. Historically, the man is a solid Dem.

This whole Dean vs. Kerry thing is a pain in the ass.

What's with all of this Kerry Bashing? Just because he has money does not make him bad. I remember when George Soros pleged $10 Million Dollars to defeat Bush next year he was very much welcomed here by many DUers! :wtf: is going on here??? I will support whoever the nomminee is all though I am undecided as of now!

Another thing, I feel that there is a Pro-Dean Bias here at DU. I have seen MANY, MANY threads talking about how only Dean can win! What if I do not agree with Dean? What if I had another candidate as my first choice? I only found one Pro-Edwards and about 4 Pro-Kucinich threads here. The other candidates have offered GREAT alternatives to Bushco! Why aren't there any "Dean Bashing Threads"!
Governor Dean is not my first choice! I would remind the DU crowd that Bob Graham too opposed this war and he has great strength on an issue that will be important next year and one that I care about,
FOREIGN POLICY!!! Howard Dean has not yet articulated a stance this issue except for "I oppose going to war with Iraq". What alternative has he given! None! I too opposed the Iraq War and it was a mistake to go there but Democrats need to challenge Bush on this!

the positions and exploits, pro and con, of a particular candidate for president. However, starting threads to discuss the people who start the threads to discuss the candidates is counter-productive.

If you wish to argue against a particular claim made about a candidate, please go do it in the thread which the claim was made in.

but I know yesterday Seventhson said that if he finds that Dean is S&B, or Book and Snake even, then he is history. I think he has me on ignore which is fine with me, but I was wondering, what if someone is Bell, Book and Candle, or silly, or looney or just plain NUTS ? I didn't get an answer.
