I gotta hand it to Will Pitt and others
They fight hard and stick up for their candidates using research, Wit and good old DU savvy....

If you're gonna go low down and dirty against a Democratic candidate you better hope that your guy doesn't live in a house requiring a barrel full of Windex.

Remember folks...DU'ers probably account for half of all google hits...
;-)

BTW: Being a Dean guy I'm quite aware that my guy ain't perfect...But who the hell is? YOU! :eyes:

1. I have nothing against Dean. I will vote for him if he wins the nomination
Edited on Mon Sep-08-03 01:58 PM by nothingshocksmeanymo

I am undecided.

I have a problem with Du being used to field propaganda which is untrue for the right.

I have a problem with posters who deliberately LIE to smear a candidate.

I would not do that to ANY of the candidates. I have an ounce of integrity.

2. I am undecided too
and I think the schoolyard name-calling has gotten out of hand.

We sound like freepers with all these ridiculous smears.

4. Smears from the left should be exposed
as quickly as smears from the right. And that's my point. If you're gonna do it at DU you better have your facts right and your guy better be as clean as a whistle!

20. I am not undecided...I want Dean, but
after viewing the last debate, I am proud of all of them. ANY one of them will crush * (uh, except for you-know-who).

5. Hey! It's been a bash Kerry morning by a couple of assholes!
Just remember that you're more interested in what the candidates have to say than the supporters.

10. Battle-Tested or Giving Up?
One at least hopes that we will come out of all this battle-tested and ready for the bigger showdown with Bush/Cheney 2004.

People are going to snipe. Things are going to get even snarkier before it is done. In my short time here I've learned it's just inevitable.

I support the potential candidacy of Clark. I don't agree with some of what I consider to be the more delusional stuff I've read around here about him, but it just comes with the territory in a politically-oriented community like this one.

I would like to think that all of us, no matter who we support or how mad certain posters or re-appearing delusional threads make us, are going to be on the same bandwagon backing whomever wins our party's nomination in 2004.

Has anyone here been seriously angered enough to not vote for someone if they win the nomination because of the behavior of their supporters? If so, I would ask you to stop and consider that the supporters of all candidates and potential candidates here at DU (me included) are only that: Supporters. We do not speak for our candidate. They do not personally endorse what we type. And finally, remember that there are assholes everywhere and an even higher concentration of them in politics. Don't let that deflect your attention from getting rid of Bush/Cheney in 2004, though.

12. Since I'm undecided
It has become a grand form of entertainment. I've learned more about certain DUers than I have about the candidates.

Truth is, we won't decide the nominee. Money will...it always does.

21. Well, IMO the whole lot of the DEM Candidates all are better than Bush
If thats the best the Pubs gonna throw at us, its not enough. Just as they were so sure of his John Wayne victory in Iraq/Afghanistan and how suprised they are its not falling into place, so it will be in the coming election. Delusion can only carry one so far.

The Pubs?? If I was them, I'd dump the Nose Miner and go with Gary Bauer. Even he is better than Bush. So what if he fell off a stage flipping pancakes.

I don't remember right who the main speaker was that day, but I'll never forget Will Pitt and his moxie.
