From Hardball email:
Tonight we'll bring you some more slicin' and dicin' from last night's presidential speech...Senator Trent Lott, Wesley Clark and others will analyze and otherwise provide a fast paced and quite exciting exegetical...

5. I have to say....
as a Dean supporter, I am excited about the possibility of Clark's entry into the campaign. His appearance on Bill Mahr's show was great!!! I loved how he defended liberalism....

Both Dean and Clark look to be fighters and will more than likely be the two batteling it out for the nomination (this is my opinion....based on an internal poll conducted with a random sampling of my opinions on the subject...)...

The ticket, in either direction would look good and kick Bushie squarely in the ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edited on Mon Sep-08-03 02:25 PM by Clark Can WIN
for the occasion? Well, time to set the VCR again. This should be rich.

Also on edit: All of these marathon interviews HAVE to be leading up to a genuine bonifide run. Any other conclusion is illogical. He's EVERYWHERE all of the sudden. Even those who have been hoping he would not run must concede that now, surely. (no shirley jokes allowed :silly: k?)

Now that right there is truly priceless -- as media ho'speak goes.

I'm looking forward to seeing him tonight. I'm listening to his Connections interview now and, frankly, he seems very appealing to me. I haven't been excited yet about a candidate (there have been a couple who I would consider voting for, but none that I can get jazzed up about and talk to my friends about). I really hope he makes his decision soon! (Though, if he doesn't, WHY is he doing all these interviews? To tease us? ;-) )

Hope to talk to y'all tonight about another great appearence! :hiya:

Too bad I'm on a boycott of MSGOP.

CNN will have to cover him if he becomes a candidate - that would be great, considering what they did to him.

22. Well...
Not really. When he became a prospective candidate for political office he left the network. Not sure which side brought up the idea, but he's still on there a couple times a week still as a talking head. Doesn't seem to be any animosity b/w Clark and CNN.

Edited on Mon Sep-08-03 06:41 PM by TheBigGuy
I think his message is good. I wonder if it will be even better if he doesnt run but pushes his vision as s "commentator" and 'obsever".

I think not as he seems to declared his party loyalty arlready. So I think his value as a spokesman and public figure is compromised if he stays out of the fray.

on edit, he could become the Democratic Colin Powell, set for a cabinet level post (probably secretary of State) in the event of the Demcoratic win.

33. Great Job
Man i feel better about our top three candidates every day. I'm still leaning toward Dean, but Kerry and Clark are making strong runs.

A couple minor points: Clark needs to do some media training(he fidgets a little too much, which makes him seem a less at ease than he probably is. Also, he needs to go out and get some suits that fit before CiCi starts writing nast stories about his clothes.

34. Wesley Clark is absolutely great
He's honest, direct, clear, unscripted, smart, without the kind of campaign-style hesitation that makes other politicians suspect whether they really mean what they say or are just telling people what they want to hear. When asked if he was running for president, for example, he simply said "I might" without playing the usual hard-to-get, coy games. Even Tweety wished him well in his decision. It's still uncertain how he would handle the economy and domestic issues, but with Iraq and the war on terrorism, he's the only candidate I would implicitly trust.

and his merry gang of thugs and pirates.

Butch was right about one thing: Iraq is definatley the place to be if one is a terrorist or even a terrorist wannabe. And our kiddos are stuck there without basic, human necesities, the most important of which is a SAFE place to be on occasion. They might as well wear targets. A hundred and thirty thousand of them. None left to replace them with. An absolute, total cluster fuck, thanks to Scummie, Wolfie, and Little Dick Pearle.

Oh, and Whistle-ass.

42. Where should he appear?
"What I don't understand he why in the living fuck does Clark always appear on the whore networks?"

He's making himself visible. He's been on just about every media outlet imaginable lately. Gave an hour-long interview on NPR today, has been on the cable networks in the evening the past few days. I like that he's made himself almost ubiquitous lately as Bush has been sinking like a stone. The more exposure he gets, the more the anti-Bush sentiment he helps fuel becomes engrained in the populace. He comes across as an honest broker. I think that rules.
