My Letter to Dr. Dobson

I am sending this to Dr. Dobson. I wonder if I'll get a reply.

Dear Dr. Dobson,
I wish to thank you for alerting me to the danger posed to me
and my family from the homosexual cartoon character Spongebob
Squarepants. In his upcoming new video he goes so far as to promote
"tolerance" and "diversity", both liberal code words for homosexuality. How could I have missed this?

You and your fabulous organization, Focus on the Family, are to
be commended for your diligence in attempting to put a stop to this
most disgusting character. Here I was thinking Spongebob was a cute,
asexual cook with a charming array of friends. Now I know that they
were living in a fruit (another code word for gayness?) and engaging
in all manner of unspeakable homo sex in their underwater (think
bath house) world.

You also remind us that Spongebob is the tip of the gay iceberg.
How about that Winnie the Pooh wearing nothing but a scarf around
the neck and living in a big, hard stick of wood? And what about
Barney, that purple jerk who skips everywhere he goes? Please.

My greatest shame is over the fact that for years the only program
I allowed my daughter to watch on TV was Sesame Street. How could I
have not figured out the situation with Bert and Ernie? Although
they slept in separate beds, I quess I was not imaginative enough
to think of what those lovable fuzzballs were doing when the lights
were turned out! Thank you for alerting me to this despicable duo.

Then there is Big Bird, who now that I think of it, always
seemed a little light on the claws, if you know what I mean. And
what about that outfit? Everyone knows that drag queens love feathers!

I confess that I must have become corrupted to such displays
of sexual deviancy from all those years of watching that dumb slut
Betty Boop. How could I have grown into a discerning Christian woman
after watching that trollop every day? Since my own mother did not
care enough about my upbringing to explain that "good" girls did
wear skirts up to their ass and flirt with every Tom, Dick and Harry
to come down the pike, I was unable to label her as the shameless
tart she was.

How could I have missed all this? Thank you again for pointing
out that in God's Own Party, tolerance and diversity have no place.
Although I cannot remember Jesus demeaning anyone because of their
sexuality, I'm sure that you and your Focus on the Family know better.
Good luck in your crusade to rid our culture of ungodly cartoon
characters.

This is a notoriously humorless bunch (think Stalin era automatons and you'll be on the right track). But laughter and ridicule are always appropriate responses to mindless demagoguery.

Good letter, but I doubt you'll get a response. Let us know if you do.

As he requested at the end of the letter, I shared my thoughts with him. To put it mildly, my thoughts run along a very distant path than his.

Never heard back, go figure.

sorted the mail I received in my mailbox last week when I opened my mailbox to find one of his letters there. Don't know how the asshole got my address and the fact that I have a teenage son but they got an earful from me. To hell with an email, they got it in the ears from me. I don't won't that shit smelling up my mailbox! Bah!

I'm still waiting for my reply from Rumsfeld. We'll see who answers first. :evilgrin:

I doubt that you'll get a thoughtful reply. What can they possibly say to you? They'll probably ask you for money!

Don't let Dobson fly under the radar. He's just as big a kook as Jerry or Pat. Plus he skims $$ off many denominations, getting them to send outreach funds to FOF, instead of Catholic Charities or Lutheran Social Services for example. I dream of the day when we can defund this asshole.

i do that every now and then and now thanks to these guys all i see is smutt!!! there was this pencil stuck in the sand all alone straight up and you know what that looked like dont you?

then sponge bob said he was going to touch it!! i tell i think he is a bit fruity.

he pulled and pulled on that pencil and it came out of the sand. i was mortified by this sexual activity on a sunday afternoon.

anyway he started to draw with the pencil and his drawings came to life, i got bored and flipped the chanel.

Doodlebob is one of the best episodes...

not that I watch spongebob all that much...
