Bush to Make Ass of Self and Alienate French and Germans, Again
Bush, Chirac to Meet in Brussels Feb. 21

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites) will meet French President Jacques Chirac in Brussels in February as the two governments try to embark on a new start in relations strained by the Iraq (news - web sites) war.

The White House said Bush would play host to a working dinner for Chirac in Brussels on Feb. 21. Bush is going on a three-nation European trip as part of an attempt to begin his second term with stronger trans-Atlantic ties.

"The president looks forward to working together with President Chirac and all our European allies and partners to strengthen freedom, democracy, and security throughout the world," White House spokesman Scott McClellan said on Monday.

Bush is to meet NATO (news - web sites) and European Union (news - web sites) leaders in Brussels on Feb. 22. He will visit German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, another Iraq war opponent, in Germany and see Russian President Vladimir Putin (news - web sites) in Bratislava, Slovakia.

France has called for a new start to relations and a more regular dialogue with the United States after the strains over Iraq.

4. Do you think Bush will be able to use a "big boy" fork?
Or will he have to use the plastic spoon and sippy cup during the working dinner???

Oh, and I bet the protestors will number in the hundreds of thousands to millions. Remember, they had to cancel Colin Powell's trip to the Olympics in Greece this summer because the protests were going to be so huge and "disruptive."
