Wonder if the ousted tenants still enjoy their "freedom"?

2. A picture of that....
would be great to print out and post everywhere.

Anyway you can get one? Is the foreclosure sign big or just on the door?

sorry, but I don't have a camera here at work.

It was a pitiful sight -- they could have least thrown the sign away.

9. It is a shame
when anyone loses their home. This just points out what Franks says in "what's the matter with Kansas" So many bushit fans vote against their own self-interest. I'll bet they are blaming losing their home on some democrat.

11. Taking pleasure in misguided people's misery...
Who knows why this person had a Bush Cheney sign in their yard?

Fooled by Bill O'LIEly into thinking that supporting chimp meant he/she supported our troops?

Fooled by his/her preacher into thinking that the biggest threat they faced was that two men would be able to get married, and only George Bush could prevent that?

Fooled by FAUX News, who told them day after day that our economy was great and tax cuts are what is going to rebuild our once great Clinton job and deficit surplus?

Fooled by any combination of media/religious/political operatives who convinced another middle class or poor person t vote against their interest.

Let's not gloat too much. But for the grace of god go I.

16. Loyal party members, fighting for the fatherland, even as it goes under.
Right-wing Republicans have mastered the art of inducing the common soul to vote against his/her own economic interests.

How long before they realize this? Will they **ever** realize this?

24. Kinda sad they didn't follow the news in 02 and 03
-record foreclosures... under bush.
-questionable pushing from the fed chair per refinancing homes... while also stating that people need to decrease debt and save more (ironic.)... under bush.
-not to mention a string of policies that work against the interest of workers in the US and the net job losses (second only to those realized in the Hoover era)... under bush.

The warning signs (be careful about not incurring debt beyond what you can cover - even if out of work for a prolonged period of time) were there in plain view (if one read/followed news.)

Regardless of their voting preference - my sympathies to the family...has to be a wretched experience to live through.

28. Hi Salin..the other news that many did listen to was Greenspan touting
adjustable rate mortgages, telling people to buy them. In a rising interest environment, which Greenspan of all people knew, this is sheer idiocy as short term rates rise..so do the monthly payments, sometimes in a large way.

My jaw dropped the day he said that.(early last year) Many listened because the fastest rising mortgages in volume were adjustables.

So many ways Greenspan and the BFEE have screwed the lower and middle class that it boggles the mind that we have not led a revolution against them.

If the abyss continues to grow from the have to have nots, it will happen.

33. I think we should get a bunch of B**h/Ch*n*y signs....
and put them up on every foreclosed property, every failed business, every ratty empty lot.

Make a mental link between those two and poverty, failure and destruction. Hammer it home. A visual meme.

Don't know if that's what happened, but it usually is. As a banker, I can testify to that. It's surprising how many people making well over $150K-$200K can't manage money.

39. The Glorious Day Has Arrived
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." H. L. Mencken (1880 - 1956)
