give w a break, he don't understand the speeches they write for him...
and he doesn't understand those annoying reporter's questions either, so ease up on him huh?...there's a war on y'know. he's a man like us, the common people, who can understand all those state of the union addresses anyway? just cause our fine leader has no clue about what's going on with his overlord masters, is no reason for us all to pile up on him. what are we....terrorists? have we no compassion?
are we on a fishing expedition? a witch hunt? are we just sore losers looking for a little revenge for Bill? we should all just shut up about it now, only a few thousand people died, and it's been admitted to by the 'see, I uh...', so let's just consider the matter closed like the president does, and get on with our lives of slavery and consumerism.

2. But that's exactly why it's so much fun.
Other people got him into this mess and now they can't get him out. And there he is, the little prince, up there with his pants down. And you expect us not to point and laugh? Give me a break.

3. He knows exactly what he's doing
I stopped thinking of him as being the jester a long time ago. He has a few things to accomplish, and that's all he thinks about. Through his minions, the things get done. He may be portrayed as a puppet, but he is a willing and knowledgeable player in the game. No need to clutter up the grey matter with details about other problems. He focuses like a laser on the few things that matter to him - god, death and taxes. Is he woody allen in disguise?

5. So, should we pile on * for all the reasons mentioned above?
Edited on Sat Jul-12-03 10:42 AM by Buns_of_Fire
Should we demonize him, diss him, laugh at him, ridicule him, drive him from his position that he was selected and bred for? Should we leave him a broken man, sadly wandering his fields in Texas without a friend, idly picking up brush and discredited throughout the world?

Hmmmmmmmmmm.....

Yeah. Works for me.

10. Your post reminds me of Al Franken's...............
speech at the LA Book Festival (the one he as on stage with O'Reilly) where he said, people give bush a pass when he messes up and say "he doesn't know. He doesn't know so leave him alone". Hilarious.

13. Remember the incident when we went into Iraq? He was told whatever you
do, stay away from the word CRUSADE. "Don't mention this term. Crusade is a bAd. Do not say CRUSADE."

AND WHAT DOES HE SAY?? thats right, he got all confused and sez "CRUSADE"

THEN HE SCREWS UP THE JOKE. " Fool me once......

This guy can not remember the punch lines, the phrases, whatever they are telling him, he screws it up.

His boys are going crazy. Someday, we gonna get a book from the "Basement." It will be a best seller for sure.

14. I can just imagine the scene when they took those speech editing photos:
Okay, Mr. President, pick up the pencil and point it at that line.
Good. Now... hold still... <click>

16. Aww, come on!!
He's really crossing off those words. They give him the speech and he gets to cross off the words he thinks he can't say. Of course, it always turns out that he thinks he can say a few of the "big" words, but they ARE confusing, and, well, you know . . .
