With no Democrats to blame, are Hate Radio blowhards eating their own?
I was talking to a Democratic friend of mine who listens to a lot of Hate Radio (don't ask why, I guess he wants to know his enemy), and he told me that the radio hosts were beginning to turn on eachother. Apparently there's some wierd love triangle going on: O'Reilly hates Savage who hates Limbaugh, and somebody else hates O'Reilly, I don't remember who.

Since I can't overhear their vapid ravenings for more than about three seconds without wanting to rip the hair from my eyes, I don't have any firsthand knowledge of this. But I know there are some DUers who have a higher tolerance for the insipid drivel of Right Wing Neanderthals than I do, and I was hoping some benevolent DUer could provide me with some verification of this.

Is it true? Is the Right Wing radio dynasty beginning to implode, or are they just trying to create a little drama to increase their sagging ratings?

1. Hey, hey, HEY!!! Take that back what you said about Neanderthals!
The Neanderthals cared about their aged and infirm, and made sure they were well protected even if they could not be "productive" members of society.

Doesn't that make them light-years better than the reich-wing assholes????

7. Ok, Ok, I apologize.
Maybe we should call them Reich Wing Ascaris lumbricoides, a species of primitive, parasitic roundworms. That sounds appropriate enough.

2. Now the line of defense is: no blame for things going like crap
After all Clinton said SS was in trouble, Gore wanted to invade Iraq, 9/11 caused the deficit spending, the CIA did it, blah blah blah. So everyone was wrong and/or shit just happens, can't blame Bush and, by the way, he is so resolute!

I'd love to hear limbaugh imploding. That's gotta be awesome. I read somewhere that inshannity was complaining about the dems "picking" on Condi, and saying that the dems were trying to make the republicans look bad because they (dems) have so much to hide. Also read that he was saying the republicans need to stick together.

5. OK, here's what we need to do
1) Listen to as many of these three as you can.
2) Write down their talking points
3) Compare the talking points of each one to the other
4) Call the shows and say things like, "You know, Mr. Hannity, I hear what you're saying about social security, but this morning on his show Limnbaugh said that anyone who believes that is living in a state of delusion."

Actually, I guess Rush doesn't REALLY have to say that for you to tell Hannity he did...

16. We could skip listening and just tell them lies about each other
"Hello, Rush? Yeah, I was listening to Sean Hannity earlier today and he called you a liberal. Yeah, he did. He said that (and I quote) "only a moran would say what Rush Limbaugh said yesterday." Yes sir, that's what he said. So I wondered...."

6. I can't stand to listen to them either but I wondered what they would do
if they finally got what they are after, complete control of the government.

If and when things go to hell they can't blame us because we have no power. They will have to turn on each other.

The only thing they can pin on Dems is the idea that Dems voted for it too. If a Dem knocks Rice they will use that thought.

My guess is that they know there is a whole other market out there which is us who will not tune them in. Someone will go after that market and they will diminish in size and it will be a battle to see who holds onto the wing nut market.

9. Supposedly RW talk radio has lost a significant amount of shares.
Maybe people are finally getting bored with it. I don't know how long you can listen to the ones who are in power shift the blame to somebody else before it just gets old.

17. Most Republicans I know do NOT listen to hate radio
In fact, they think it's just as bad as we think it is. The wing nut radio talk shows only appeal to the real extremists.

22. It's "done its job" for now.. Like a cicada, Hate radio will slumber
until it's called once again, to action...just in time for the next electoral "fix" (meant in more than one way)..

The issues the will have to cover now, are boring issues to them. Stuff like SS, torture, etc.

The "Bloody Shirt" election issues have been put back on the shelf for now.. No use pointing out that not all repubes in congress are of the same mind on those issues.

Abortion...guns...gay marriage... they will be dusted off in 18 months or so, tweaked a bit, and hung out for all to see again..Just in time for the '06 elections..

10. I was flipping through channels and for some stupid reason paused on FAUX
they were ripping the Dem's that voted against Condi, calling them un-American and Racists and anything else FAUX could think up.
It only took a few seconds and I was pissed and wondered what I was doing.
They will eventually have no one to blame but themselves.

13. Savage calls O`Reilly The Leprechaun. I think it's just posturing.
I think it's just posturing, to make it seem less like they're all reading off the same page. It could be competition for market share, but I doubt it. That would be too real for these right wing republican infomercials, hosted by insult comics, with no real independence what so ever.

18. Bill O'Reilly uses blather about how powerful "Secularists"
and the ACLU are (yeah, I wish) to distract attention from the Republicans controlling everything.

O'Reilly also tries to give his viewers the impression that most liberal websites are funded by George Soros.

20. Having control of government won't change anything.
The dynamic will remain the same. These people NEED someone to HATE.....and we are it.

Logic and common sense are not important to what these people do.

All these right wing pundits are in competition with each other for radio stations and ratings, so it shouldn't be a surprise that they fighting with each other.

Isn't capitalism great?

28. Do you remember Limbaugh guest-hosting The Tonight Show?
Limbaugh had to order the audience cleared-out because they kept heckling him and he couldn't deal with it.

I think that was in 1985 or so.
