It's time for them to go
Edited on Fri Jan-28-05 01:34 AM by SemperEadem
All Dem yes-voters for the Rice nominiation are getting letters from me.

My letter to Feinstein:

Madame...

The time has come that your tenure in the United States Senate has outlived its usefulness to the people whose interest it is you serve in your elected, not born-into like a prince, office. To approve the nomination of a known and proven liar, upon whose lies our country has been relieved of at least 4,447 of her loyal citizens, (with Iraq losing over 16,000) is unconscionable.

It was guaranteed that Dr. Rice was going to win her nomination due to the republican controlled Senate, whose financial and political gain is far more important than what is in the best interests of this country. It was offensive and odious that you would give Dr. Rice a 'pass', as this woman will become the person who treats with other nations in the name of 'We the People'. How can any country be confident when treating with the U.S. when her lies have fallen out in experience over the course of time following 9/11/01? Who can treat with a bold liar?

This was a time for Democrats to show they have a backbone. To at least make the republicans aware of the wall they're about to hit while they earnstly and recklessly push their 'agenda'. Thank God California is blessed in that their other Democratic senator hasn't taken leave of her wits.

I hear say retirement isn't so bad, once you get used to the abatement of the hectic pace and the 'drama' of public life. You could write a book or paint pictures. I'm sure you have the money to live in relative comfort and ease, unlike a growing number of your constituents.

1. Well said!!!
Gee, she agrees to tout Rice, her husband's firm gets a $600 million contract in Iraq, and she votes for Rice...all in just a couple of weeks. They are so arrogant, they don't even try to hide their crimes.

Good for you! I think Feinstein needs to go also.

2.  Feinstein is the Aunt Bea of the senate.
What was that shit all about? How did that little lady end up shilling for chimp? She was supposed to be the popular one in California too.

3. What about Pelosi?
The "word" is she's not too bright and is pretty easy to bend.
