Is Donald Trump Prejudice or Racist
Three times in a row Trump has managed to find three black women who are foolish. Sometimes it seems to me that he is trying to typecast black women as foolish and psyhcotic. It seems to me that he could pick black women that do not go crazy during tasks. So what do other DUers think?

2. I can't stand him. Don't watch his "show". Don't know.
He is not an interesting person at all.

3. Actually I think unintentially
The Apprentice is a great critique of capitalism--I mean Trump is clearly a buffon, and these, the best and the brightest are a bunch of barely capable dolts.

4. From the perspective of one who watches the show merely for
entertainment, it did seem that everyone, including Trump, focused on the point that Verna was able to regroup from her mini breakdown and that it took a lot of strength and courage to come back and face everyone. I think they did this to avoid the exact type of criticism you're examining.

A few years while trying to stave off competition from Indian casinos in the Northeast commenting on the physical traits of the tribes in the east who's have been interracial for years "They sure don't look like Indians to me!"

7. I was thinking the same thing
I said "Goddamn, if that asshole Mark Burnett didn't find himself another crazy black woman to create some tension!"

These contestants are picked for a reason...they must have a slot every year for the "psycho African-American bitch that all the other white contestants can complain about and reinforce to themselves how unstable black women are" category. What a joke.

8. Considering that the only reality show a black person seems to win is
"American Idol" (further perpetuating the black-as-entertainer stereotype)....

First season of "Apprentice" was close and gave me some optimism for future minorities to do well on the show. Minorities (unfortunately) have a better chance of winning something like "The Apprentice" or "Survivor" over something like "The Bachelor/ette."

Was it the case that on the second season of "Apprentice," it was between a white female and a white male, and once again, the white male got it? (I don't know, someone will have to clue me in.)

If so, then (potentially) there have been two instances of members of 'protected classes' (a black male and white female) in the finals and both have lost to the white male.

So who knows what is going on.

10. Whoa! You're forgetting Tara
The African-American woman on the "Street Smarts" team. She is about the sanest one this season, and was one of the few voices of reason last night. Last week, Verna was impressive. I don't think she was portrayed as psycho ala Omarosa, but rather as someone who couldn't take the pressure of "the process." It's happened on other reality shows. Hell, in my opinion, that makes her SANE.

Also, last season Stacy J. was definitely NOT nuts, and I think was portrayed as the only normal, non-"sorority" women in the bunch.

Yeah, I'm a reality show junkie. It's a sickness.

Trump most definitely does not pick the contestants -- Burnett does. And, he knows what he's doing: it's all about the drama... and ratings.
