Bush* pisses on environment
With the program of global dominance that bush* is marching to, the environment is slowly being screwed right and left. Here's just one example:

<snip> The federal Bureau of Land Management, under pressure from the White House to fast-track energy production, approved the drilling plan two years ago without incorporating any requirements to reduce the resulting air pollution <snip>

3. This is all going on 'below the radar' .
While America frets over war, the real war is here at home. The loggers are now writing their own rules.

4. He does
my stepmother lives near there. The people in nearby towns are up in arms about it. * has already passed a law allowing 30,000 logging trucks into the area. It's sick-but then, I have to wonder; where are our Dem leaders on the environment? it was almost a non issue during the election, and yet environmental collapse is the single greatest threat to humanity's survival (and it could collapse completely in OUR lifetimes).
