Police hunt poo protesters

Police in Germany are hunting pranksters who have been sticking miniature US flags into piles of dog poo in public parks.

Josef Oettl, parks administrator for Bayreuth, said: "This has been going on for about a year now, and there must be 2,000 to 3,000 piles of excrement that have been claimed during that time."

The series of incidents was originally thought to be some sort of protest against the US-led invasion of Iraq.

And then when it continued it was thought to be a protest against President George W. Bush's campaign for re-election.

But it is still going on and the police say they are completely baffled as to who is to blame.

Apparently there's a movement here to plant little yellow flags with Bush's ugly face on them into piles of dog shit.

I guess we now know where they got the idea!

Oh, well, it IS Germany, not our "free" country... I think the likeliest perpetrators of the poo-flag movement are AMERICANS IN GERMANY. Maybe even our own troops, or their families.

Anyway, I still think it's a great statement of what America has become over the last 4 years. Now for the little flags with Bush's picture on them! I'd feel kind of bad sticking our flag in a pile of animal droppings, but I'd love to stick Bush's face in such a pile!

Hint: Buy some yellow paper for ye olde printer, some toothpicks, and follow your dog around. Great Danes work best. :evilgrin:

I can't believe I'm sitting here meditating on the proper technique to use when planting a yellow flag of boosh** in a pile of dog shit. I used to be a semi-respected member of the data processing community! Really! I was!

Now, when you purchase your skewers, you'll find there are those that are not much bigger 'round than toothpicks (but considerably longer) and will work perfectly.
