I'm surprised that was what you took from it, I thought the torture was (a) not that severe and (b) justified, given that they found the suspect at the address where other people known to be involved had been (unless I jumped to that conclusion, plz forgive me if I did)

I thought it was a pretty interesting movie -- it's really frightening to think about the long-term effects of radiation, although I don't entirely think that it would have the tremendous impact depicted at the end of the film

Confession: Didn't see the show. Just shocked that a contributor to this board would call any torture justified.
I'm guessing the severity would be relative to the individual's perception.

4. well, it was basically a scotland yard agent
dunking a guy's head into water a couple of times -- and while I guess one might conclude that it escalated off screen, I didn't really get that
