America, This is Only a Test.
Was in Mexico over the weekend with no internet. So I was reading a book I bought last week. The book is Rule By Secrecy by Jim Marrs. Secrecy disusses secret societies, Council on Foriegn Relations, Trilateral Commission, and the Bildebergers, amongst other things. Having just finished Palast's book, The Best Democracy Money Can Buy.

I was thinking, that America and Americans are being tested, just how much will they take. The stolen Presidential election in 2000. The illegal war in Iraq, and the fraudulent war sale. The all out assault on the middle class. Computer voting with the intent to steal elections. The trashing of the environment. The annihilation of our bill of rights with the Patriot act. 9-11. The cover-ups, the secrecy, and on and on and on, ad infinitum.

I have a sickening belief that all of this has been just a dress rehearsal, a dry run, if you will. Americans aren't in the streets, they are not revolting, and they now know that there will be no revolution. They (those people) can do whatever they want, it is a proven fact. Our country is in an unprecedented condition and the world is a frightening place at this moment.

1. Agreed completely. This twilight will be over some day
And the real Bushevik "fun" will begin.

And, yes, they know they can do anything to anyone now. The Busheviks are immune from prosecution, immune even from investigation.

If they could be investigated anyway. They hold the levers of power and the courts and the media and the everything.

They can start anytime they want. And they will. Not 'if'...

...'when'.

2. We're fat, lazy, self-absorbed and love money and porn WAY too much
Basically a good people at heart, but our priorities are for shit. We will reap what we sow, and the Seven Deadly Sins are pretty deadly.

8. Thosae are not our main problems
However true it may be -- and I'm not so sure -- the worst of our problems is the current state of our media.

I agree with Abraham Lincoln (wish I had the exact quote). I BELIEVE in Americans to do the right thing as long as they have the truth about what's going on.

I believe in Americans to do the right thing. We cannot have democracy without arming our citizens with the information they need to make the right decisions about their democracy.

But first we have to fix the voting machines issue. THEN we can work on the media.

13. I couldn't agree more, Eloriel
For the moment anyway. Eventually, Goebbels v2.0 is going to have the desired effect, producing the critcal mass of unthinking automatons.

At that time, whenever it shall pass (and if it shall pass), we will be in trouble and I wouldn't count on the Imperial Subjects of Amerika for ANYTHING at that time except to turn people in to their Free-Market-Stalinist Masters when they are told.

You are also right, Eloriel, that "voice-suppression" and information denial are integral parts of Goebbels v2.0 designed to short-circuit the American Character, at least as it used to be during the Days of the Old Republic.

As theyhave always been an integral part of Totalitarian programs, from Hitler through Marcos.

5. I've been thinking very similar thoughts

for some time now.

I tend to agree with Howard Zinn: The America I believed I grew up in never really existed. So my efforts to stop the plague that is now running rampant through the country are not so much to restore what was stolen from us, but rather to build what was supposed to be there in the first place, but never really managed to appear.

That's why I believe in grassroots community building. We have to get little fires going all over the country, to get people feeling like they have some power again, like they can make a difference, like they're part of this thing. Because they do, they can, and they are.

The populace has been asleep for a very long time. It's going to take an all-out effort to wake them up.

10. I've been saying this since the day he stole
the WH..then the people let them get away with everything they wanted..they now know they're home free and nothing's going to be done. They've ran so many test-runs, have the media cooperating w/ them, thrown people in jail for expressing their voices, have you pulled off planes, and whatever else..Who knows what they've installed in your cars, meds, food, etc..I do NOT trust this bunch of criminals!

11. The Battle is Lost
I think the only thing being negotiated is an end to the fanaticism of the 'nation-state' and the 'soma' of pre-destination...
America for americans is a fix
Your statement:
I was thinking, that America and Americans are being tested, just how much will they take.

This type of paranoia is really the problem...tested by who? who set this limit? Is there a prize at the end of this paranoid tunnel?

How long can American warlords withstand the common sense of universal health care, just labor laws, publicly financed elections, regulated investment, sane energy prices or place schools, communities, local issues in the category of 'scared cows' without the need to fuel a media spending frenzy?

Just asking if your asking those questions of essentially a relic of cold war thinking
