Newsmax reports: "Campaign mail with a return address of the Republican National Committee warns West Virginia voters that the Bible will be prohibited and men will marry men if liberals win in November. The literature shows a Bible with the word 'BANNED' across it and a photo of a man, on his knees, placing a ring on the hand of another man with the word 'ALLOWED.' The mailing tells West Virginians to 'vote Republican to protect our families' and defeat the 'liberal agenda.'"

Focus on the Family (FOF) defends a GOP ad claiming liberals will ban the Bible. "It's time to raise the issue, clearly, when you ban Bible-reading in schools, when you ban Bible text and Scripture in public places, when you ban the Ten Commandments from the Montgomery (Ala.) courthouse," said FOF’s Tom Minnery. "You can see the clear trend."

Eagle Forum's Phyllis Schlafly says Democrats are trying to "censor the truth" by complaining about a Republican National Committee mailing. The mailing claimed that the Bible will be banned should liberals win in November.
