19. definitely not a "service"
Everyone is "invested", so we're all working for ourselves. A service is what you do for other people in exchange for dubloons.

Much of the finance industry is service though -

ie., taxicabs. I generally consider it 'transportation' in surveys like this.

I didn't pick retail, since the business has a lot more in common with a trucking company than a department store.

54. I don't know which one to vote for mine...
...so I clicked other.

I work in the security industry, currently doing loss prevention work for a major electronics store in Melbourne (Australia.) However, I am also currently looking around for other work.

I am not happy with the security firm I am currently working for. They are only a small firm and deal souly with providing security guards to watch premises, do uniformed loss prevention work, and mobile patrols.

The firm is three very small never heard of security companies merged together to form a public owned security company.

The bosses have no idea in hell what they are doing. They treat their guards with very little respect, and in recent months have lost ten of their best guards, because of the treatment we constantly receive.

Being in security there are so many different areas I can head into. I am currently looking at working at one of our historical sites in my state, otherwise I will end up looking at either one of our three major zoo's in the state, or working at the airport, or heading in doors and working at one of the major computer alarm monitoring sections for a well known security firm.

call me paranoid, but it's like you could do a full sketch of a person on these polls people run, and determine who they are and what city they work in, and what type of work, their general age, and so on... I don't need any freepers hounding me..

paranoia runs deep with bush in the nut house.. I mean white house. (grin)

60. Oh I understand!
But I am so "out" on the 'net, that is anyone truly wanted to find out who I am they could. It isn't hard to track me.

I figure if there is a nut that is willing to travel from the U.S. to Australia to hound someone who happens to work in the security industry, hence starting an international incident, then they truly are nuts and deserve the punishment they will get once I call the police on their ass. LOL
