Shhh! DUer's STOP telling the truth!
Edited on Mon Jan-31-05 02:38 PM by Zinfandel

People want to believe what the White House fed media is telling them about the Iraq election. We are suppose to believe the Bush government about the percentage of people who voted and how happy the Iraqi people are. (Sort of like all the staged and happy people tearing down Hussein’s statue?)

Bush, Cheney, Rove & the boys have been planning this Iraq voting propaganda for month's...Is this vindication? Does this justify all the lies, deaths, killings and tortures for Bush’s imperialistic invasion of Iraq?

Not too hard to recognize the propaganda is to further justify Bush’s demand for another 80 billion dollars in Iraq. And the future invasions and occupation of Iran and other oil rich nations, in the name of democracy, as the rich whore media talking heads, merrily report the obvious lies and bullshit.

We are to believe, that the oil rich countries in the world are all fair game for the BushCo oil thieves, including nations in our hemisphere like Venezuela in the name of forced democracy. Bush crime family partner, Saudi Arabia, no democracy there, is the exception. http://www.commondreams.org/views04/0712-06.htm

The disingenuous reports and disgusting lies the American people are being spoon fed about the Iraq “election” is going like clockwork. The fascist Bush propagandists know full well the American people are gullible and want to believe the government’s propaganda and anything that the powerful mainstream corporate media machine spews out, it's our democracy and free press at work.

So let’s keep quiet and happily watch the media report the Bush lies, all with pictures and video too! WOW! :wow: :bounce:

:puke:

4. I understand where you're coming from, but...
You may have to do what I've done, and just Turn It OFF.

I was a news Junky until CNN was taken over by AOL/Time-Warner, now It's just Gross. The only time I turn it on, is if the Radio reports something that must be seen to fully appreciated.

Have you heard of RSS Feeds? That, combined with NPR (and sometimes the LBN here) are how I get ALL my News now.

5. To be absolutely perfectly honest...I haven't watched a single

second of the bullshit. I haven't watched television news since one week before the invasion of Iraq, that's the truth.

I just couldn't take the in your face, obvious, insulting lies anymore.

Believe it or not my thread was based solely on what I've been reading on DU today.

(I always know what MSM is up to...just by logging on to DU and reading the post...but personally, I never watch it).

9. We You got me, but I just thought of something
I take it from your Avatar that you are a Union member, Yes?

Well, as you might know, most Major News organizations ARE Union Shops (except here in Georgia, which is a "Right to Work" State) but, here's my question, :think:do you think that "Radio and Television Broadcast Engineers Union" Locals <http://www.ibew1212.org/>

or

NABET-CWA (National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians & Communications Workers of America)
<http://www.nabetcwa.org/links/>

could or would be able to exert pressure on the Television and Cable "news" Networks to cut the Crap, and start doing Real News again?

and that new exotic vacation homes, as just hard work, while talking themselves into really believing the lies as truth. It then becomes their ideology and all the more shame, justifcation for their sickening, bias reports.

It's the media whores motto..."If I don't lie and take the money, somebody else will". And "I have a family to think about"

That's why I stopped watching television "news" almost two years ago.

12. You're right of course.
I guess it's too much to hope for that these shameful disgusting sorry excuses for Americans much less humans would care about anything more then their immediate little world. I don't watch anymore either, I rely on DUers with strong stomachs to fill me in on the media whoredom of the Corporate Owned media. Thanks DUers.

13. I used to NEVER MISS Washington Journal
and I can hardly bear to watch it anymore.. No matter what the question is, the program is being relentlessly freeped these days.

and their penchant for "fairness" is beyond the pale these days too. They somehow think that every issue has a "black-white,good-evil,right-wrong, yin-yang" to it.so every other caller just HAS to comment on "how disappointed he/she is in the democRATS, and how saintly *² is".. So now I have just given up on the show altogether.

They conveniently sidestep issues that really matter, and concentrate on the very issues that divide public thought..

Reality Sucks.

Next thing your going to say is that "Global Warming IS Real" and not "Junk Science," like Uncle Karl said.:silly:
