With the approval of Alberto R. Gonzales are we now fascist?

Militarism and fascism are what my USMC dad fought against in WWII.
But it seems as though the RW fruitcakes and traitors to our US Constitution and their partisans are running amok furthering the PNAC agenda.

The vote to confirm Gonzales was a vote for fascism. But the project is not complete. Senate Republicans have demonstrated that they will rubberstamp fascism, however, many among them appear not to understand the true consequences and implications of their deeds. Fascism will not become an explicit agenda (under any label) until the consolidation of power by the RNC reaches the point where it becomes undeniably advantageous. We have not yet reached that point.

TIme to work for secession and get out of Jesusland

To me, that's the message of the past 4+ years.

The distinction is subtle (and I'm not sure if it'll hold up).

But I don't see the Repukes making a big fetish out of trumped-up national unity and gathering together the Volk, the way the Nazis and the Italian fascists did. Rather, I think they're simply consolidating power, more like Augustus Caesar. You can disagree and not be jailed or murdered, but you'll definitely get marginalized.
